wife and i are watching random bollywood stuff because nous sommes LOSERS, and it gives us something blatantly ridiculous to make fun of, like INTENSE HUGGING, which is a common feature of the song-and-dance scenes that are basically stand-ins for sex.

lmso. the first video is ridiculous with the hugging so hard they orgasm. that's like... ok, yeah right. lol. they are so spent at the end of the video and then they start cracking up. o_O

The second one... The dude's shirt is untucked the whole time and I just want someone to stop humping, i mean dancing, and to tuck it back in. There is much gyrating... And chasing. What's with the chasing?

Also that Hrithik is attractive!

That man is hot like burning. Almost enough to get me to go to the trouble hunt down some full Bollywood type stuff. I am...about forty miles from anywhere that might have it though. :/

And the lady in the last still you have there is gorgeous! I just want to wrap up in her ha~air....

*ahem* Excuse me, sorry. BUT a Merlin fic with that premise makes untold amounts of sense! With the added bonus that if you link to some references or that film, at least a few people will follow them back, and then you will have educated some people! Through Merlin! How awesome is that?

haahaha, well you have the internet, so there's loads of English subtitled bollywood stuff to be found without ever leaving your house or spending any money. for example, the movie i am talking about: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=bollywood&emb=0&aq=f#emb=0&q=jodhaa+akbar+english+subtitles&view=3

and i do want to actually write the fic ultimately, but i have been indecisive about how much westernization because i don't want to use the actual setting and cultural backdrop of India and then slap two white actors in place--it's far too often something that happens in movies (see: Avatar) and wouldn't make any logical sense. the characters of Merlin and Arthur are an intrinsic part of Britain and vice versa. so i think a fic would have to take just the overall idea of inter-religion marriage to new emperor-like king and not include any of that Mogul history that inspired me in the first place, or ( ... )
