The Convention Center is probably one of the places that got the most rebuilding love after the Superdome. It also served as a shelter for people and got pretty effed up on the inside. When Kara and I came back in October after the hurricane they were already working on it. This location serving as shetler, however, had a lot to do with the looting at Wal-Mart which is right down the street on Tchoup.

If you feel up to it, I'm bartending tonight, Friday night, and Saturday night at this restaurant called Taqueros Coyoacan. It's at 1432 St. Charles, 4 blocks from Lee Circle on the uptown side. You'd probably have to cab it, but it's not that far.
