Not that I've updated it, but as someone has taken it upon themselves to rip off the whole series and they're only up to 'U' I have removed the rest from Survival Instinct and I have locked all the entries here. There

that's... creepy. And why do people steal fanfics? It boggles my mind. You will get caught one day, and it's just so stupid, since it will hardly get you "internet-famous".

Yeah I don't get it. Frankly it just goes to show that you're incappable of actually putting in the effort yourself. In fact the sheer amount of my work that was taken suggests that maybe this person is incappable of stringing a sentence together.

The later chapters are less obvious, taking things from the end of chapter rather than the beginning or cutting it down to a few paragraphs. But these words come out of my brain. I'm so OCD with my writing that every sentence has to be just right. So to think I won't notice my own goddamn words staring me in the face is an insult to my writing and to my intelligence.

And I was calm about this before but the absurdity of the moment has worn off and now I'm just pissed off.

I just sigh at this entire situation, too many stupid people out there. At least the person is on stop_plagiarism, hopefully the person will eventually stop.

It's hard to believe that someone is attempting this in a fandom this small. Everyone pretty much knows everyone elses work. I'm sorry that this happened to you; I know I really enjoyed 'Zygote' when you first posted it at SI. Do you mind if I friend this journal?

This has been happening a fair bit recently, I and various others have been victim of it over on SI. Though it was not word for word, it was almost identical in theme/storyline. She was tackled about it and since deleted all her fic.

Has this person copied yours word for word? And the thing is, why if they don't want to get caught do they keep picking out quite unique or very easily recognizable AR fics to copy?

Anyway,I hope you are able to sort it out. I shall now re-read Zygote. It's been a while. ;-)

She couldn't even be bothered changing the title of the thing. But from that point on she takes bits from various points in each story. Her chapters are barely a third of the word count I had in each so she can pull phrases and paragraphs from wherever she likes.

At least she had the decency to respect our intelligence and put it in a different fandom.

It has got me re-reading my BSG things and considering writing in the fandom again. So there is a plus.

I think the only part of this that doesn't insult me is that she at least applied it to a fandom that I don't particularly like and would never write for. But still. Grrr.

It boggles the mind. If she is who I think she is, she has been called on this behavior a bunch of times now. *shakes head*

hi, I commented on the battlestar fan site that you posted this news to. but I wanted to come here & comment & just let you have some more 'lurker' support. 'Plagers' make me crazy. They make it infinitly harder for anyone to share, for fear that their work will be corrupted in some way.

I could go on forever- yes, I have dealt with these bottom feaders for years in differnt fandoms, directly & indirectly.

Anyway, I have greatly enjoyed reading your work (Zygote, in particular) & would greatly enjoy the ability to read in the future. Would you mind too terribly friending me?

It's absolutely ridiculous how these people are under the misguided impression that we won't recognise the words we write. Particularly when I'm rather OCD about them being just right. It's painful.
