I'm watching TWILIGHT. It's like reading the book extremely fast and with the lingering moments mostly cut out. Still, there's no doubt that Bella is Bella and Edward is Edward.

Whether they be let down by cheap effects or bad
screenwriting, the two central actors pull it off.

i agree with that completely, and whoever pulled the music together did an amazing job.

When I saw certain things in the movie, like the performance of the actor playing Charlie or Bella's bedroom, I amazed by how they had really captured the spirit of the book.

Some things were different, like the hip Asian guy...Eric?
Was that character in the novel? I don't recall him.

bellas house was exactly how I pictured it while I was reading the book.

yeah and the guy who played eric..he was a horrible actor.
he's the one who has a big crush on bella and is all nervous about it.
and him and mike newton kind of like fight over her or whatever.
he wasnt suppose to be a hip asian though i don't think. lol

for me the whole baseball scene was amazing.
the music, the sound effects, the actors and the competitiveness.
gave me chills.
and i love muse so that played a factor in it.

yeah, the asian needed to not bring out the hip dialogue.
good stuff, though. people complained about the effects, but i thought they were fine.

I am actually on New Moon right now and I never though I would like the book but my only problem is how long it's taking me to read the book.

Yeah, I just started ECLIPSE. NEW MOON picks up at the end.
