God forbid they actually hit ratings high enough to suggest the screen legend would even watch it. “Jack’s just talking out of his ass, as usual. Come on guys, you really think someone like Meryl Streep would be shallow enough to promote herself through our show... what?”
Throughout her little speech Pete had been gesturing subtly for her to turn around. Liz sipped her coffee and turned to find Jack standing behind her with the Meryl Streep.
