The Return of 40K

 Jonas and I managed to get a game of WH40K in last weekend, partly inspired, i'd say, by the new Dawn of War CPU game.

The battle was a 1400 point Eldar vs Space Marines slugfest, on a map i had originally set up for Stargrunt - translate that to mean "dense and frenetic". It was a blast, and, though we fought to a draw points-wise, one picture ( Read more... )

Yep, 4th again.

We came to a consensus on the hand-to-hand resolution, though - treat it like Stargrunt (pairing off) for the whole mess of figures involved.

I have yet to paint anything for 40k...

is it just me, or do the eldar look a whole hell of a lot more intimidating that the space marines?

Hell, yeah!

...but that's cause those are 4th edition eldar, while the space marines are old 2nd edition sculpts - they're only two pieces, so they look all samey and pretty dull even painted. I should post a pic of my new space marines!
