Ah, there should be a journal somewhere nearby. It's used for communication here. That's how I'm speaking with you now.

[Although if she looked in the journal, she probably wouldn't see him. He's too busy getting bundled up for going outside; he's not about to let Tear walk all the way to the village without some warmer clothing!]

If you can, try and see if you can locate the river. It flows towards the village- that's where everyone is. I'll try to meet you halfway.

[Tear stares at the book in her hands, glad now that she had not closed it. But having Ion walk out in this weather to meet up with her? Not cool.]

I appreciate your offer Fon Master, but there's no need to risk your health. I'll be fine on my own for now. [Even though it's freezing.]

[Ion going out in a snow storm was one thing. Tear wandering in a snow storm without any sort of winter clothes was another.]

[Thankfully, he wasn't the only one who could go help her! He is right across the hall from Anise, after all.]

There's no need for you to risk your health either, Tear. Thankfully, it sounds like Anise will be coming to find you instead. She has Tokunaga, so the weather shouldn't be a problem for her.

Anise is with you? [She feels a little more comfortable with Anise coming for her, especially since Tokunaga had proven useful in situations like these, but she still didn't feel at ease. What was going on that the two were together?]

[A nod.] Quite a few of us. Aside from myself and Anise, there is also Luke, Guy, Natalia, Nephry, Asch, and Dist, as well as Jade's former teacher, Professor Nebilim. Jade was here up until a month ago before being sent home.

[A pause. That would need its own explanation, wouldn't it?] People tend to come and go when they're brought here... although, rather than "brought", I suppose a more correct term would be "kidnapped".
