[Poem] Have a quartet.
It's only a quartet because there are four lines, and pretty much just. Five minutes, in Phil Lit class. Instruction was to write a four-lines poem about your current feelings. We were just done with discussing about our favorite poems and what does a poem not say (which is also the title of the late Ophelia Dimalanta's poem which we were discussing earlier)
Ophelia Dimalanta is considered to be Philippines greatest poet, and it was said that Philippine poetry died with her last November. She's one of my favorite poets, and I do highly recommend anyone into poetry to read her stuffs. So many great poets passed away lately, which is just sad. The other day, it was Edith Tiempo, another great poet. (Most would know her for the poem Bonsai, a poem about man's tendency to compartmentalize love)
Anyway, have a four-liner:
And Adam runs, blind and deaf,
Shadows following and beckoning,
spreading like a neverending sea
of cold laughter--empty, abandoned.
