Ah, the headaches of design

I've actually acheived a surprising amount today. I've paid my car tax. I did all the research for tomorrow's interview, including finding maps and routes which prove that it's easier to find than I thought it would be. If anyone sees a purple Nissan Micra bombing around Liverpool with a worried and confused-looking driver, though, you'll know that ( Read more... )

I must admit, I hated Teyla in the first 6 episodes, with a hate of many suns. But then, and this is rare, because I normally carry that dislike forever (except maybe Joxer, because I forgave him at the end) I started to like her.

Maybe it was because they weren't going to play her as the great love interest of Sheppard, or something. She grew on me.

I knew from the start that the producers had worked out that a big Teyla/Sheppard thing was going to be a bad idea and weren't going with that, so I went in prepared to like Teyla. The one that I was so sure about was Elizabeth. I adored her when she first appeared in Stargate, but then they changed the actress over the summer break and I just wasn't sure about the change at first.

It only took a couple of episodes, though, to change my mind and I started seeing the Teyla/Elizabeth potential before I could really see the Sheppard/McKay thing.

I'd be assuming she's supposed to be pretty much anywhere else, actually. :-)

Hope it goes well in any case.

It went very well. I found the place without getting lost, in rush hour, and they'd already called my agency by the time I got home to ask for a second interview. It will be some time next week. The agency seems to think that the rest of the interview process is a shoe-in. I'm not so confident, but a second interview (particularly so quickly) is encouraging.
