Six month emigraversary thoughts

As of today, it is now six months since I moved to Canada. I can't believe how fast the time has flown! There have been ups and downs and the winter has not been easy, but overall it's been wonderful and I'm absolutely certain that I made the right choice to do this. I am utterly inspired by the way you jumped in and made this move happen and how open you've been to experiencing things in your new place & country. It's been very cool reading even if I haven't said much about it. :)

Fascinating reading! I completely agree with a lot of the 'house maintenence' things - my life has really been taken over with that. :( I bought this house thinking it had room for the future (e.g. kids one day!) but if I don't actually get out and have a social life, that won't ever happen.

I dream of moving into an apartment again. In Canada, I hope!

And congratulations on your first 6 months. :D

House maintenance - yuck! It's definitely my least favourite part of all this. My parents wanted a nice big place to spread out in, which is really nice but the amount of work involved in a big four bedroom house is pretty horrific. Definitely going for something smaller when I get my own place!

You need to come to Canada *nods* It's amazing. And Nova Scotia is a wonderful place to visit. Hey, it's an amazing place to live, too!

I can't believe that the last six months have gone by so fast. It doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Perhaps we could make the next knitting in restaurant night a bit of a celebration? That could be fun :-)
