Oh noes

Which single piece of equipment do you not want to have fail in the middle of a Canadian winter?

Yeah. I'm waiting for the oil guys to come out and fix my furnace. Joy. Good thing we've got a couple of electric heaters lurking is all I can say.

The great thing about being a knitter? Have hand-knit blankets around to huddle under!

That is a nice thing...if I'd ever finished anything larger than a baby blanket.

I just saw the other post. Glad your heating's fixed.

I have one blanket that's at least 7 foot by 5 and another that's 5 foot by 5. That's the kind of thing I started out making so my current socks and sweaters are wonderful because they knit up so fast!

And yes, yay heating. I loves heating.

They came around three hours after I reported the problem, spent an hour sorting it out and now I have heating again. Hooray!

A hot cuppa, blankets, and kitties on you lap. ::nods:: It's the only way. :)

Keep warm!

Y'know, that's exactly what I did while I waited for the guy to come out :-) Hand-knit blankets rock.

But I am still very glad to have a working furnace again. It's going to be -15C tonight - it would have been very nasty.

My sympathies - I'm in the same boat right now and it's cold enough over *here*. I can only imagine how bad it is over *there*. Hope it gets fixed soon!

Eeep! I hope yours gets fixed soon. I've been hearing about your dreadful weather conditions.

Today was actually above zero for the first time since Christmas, so it could have been much worse. Tonight is supposed to go back down to -15C and I'll have daytime highs of -8C for the next couple of days. If it had to break down totally, at least it was today rather than tomorrow!
