Finally done it - Peg 2

Jan 09, 2007 19:46

I've finally emailed Wolf Events about disability information for Peg 2. Not sure whether I feel happy or sad about that - on the one hand I'll enjoy the con more if I'm not hurting but on the other it's using the concept of disability and me in one email. Hmmm ( Read more... )

I also had been wondering about accommodations for disability and had been thinking of emailing them. Unfortunately, the decision has been made for me that I can't go at all, since the foot is still very fragile. I'll miss seeing you there. Perhaps next year?

I hope you get to have a decent seat without standing in line and that you have a great time at the conventionQ

{{{hugs}}} So sorry that your foot won't allow you to be here :-( Next year I have to see where I am before making convention commitments - I'm planning to go out to Canada in February for my Experiencing Winter trip, so a lot will depend on when that works out to be and whether I can tie in a convention.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a decent seat and not spend too much time sitting on floors this time! Whatever happens, I'll have a great time :-)

I'm beginning to realise I won't make it to Peg 2. :( But I'm glad you're asking for help, because I have seen how much pain it can cause you with all the convention 'blah' going on.

:-( {{{hugs}}}} Sorry you won't make it. Hopefully you'll be back here for other things soon.

Yeah, asking for help might be a sensible plan even though it irritates me to need it. I'll have to see what can be done - hopefully I'll have a beautiful new walking stick to wave threateningly at people if I have problems!

I'll definitely have fun :-)

That link...looking at the location, I think that's exactly where I'm going! My sister told me it's on New Oxford Street and I can't imagine there would be more than one there. It's kind of scary but also kind of cool - hopefully I'll come away with a stick that's definitely the right length (should prevent stress on my back when I have to use it) and is beautiful to look at. I'll be terrorising people with style :-)

My only concern is that I'll find such a nice still that I'll want to use it even when I don't need to!

There will be no standing around for you, you get to jump ALL the queue's and get a seat (if needed) while you are waiting for autographs etc. i am extremely proud of you for doing this, and remember, just because you have a pass doesn't mean you have to use it, but, it is there if you do.

Thanks, hon. I hate having to do it, but I suppose this is a small step towards admitting that I'm not going to be as mobile as I was two years ago. I'll get the pass and see how I'm feeling as to when I use it. I hate the idea of barging to the front of queues!

Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks :-)
