Fanfic rec, Merlin edition

I'd stopped reading much, if any Merlin fanfiction even before the show ended, not least because of my "Where is the Gwen of it?" problem. I.e. if the stories in question are Merlin/Arthur, which most of them are, Gwen is either conveniently handed over to Lancelot and shows up for two lines or so otherwise, or doesn't show up at all; if, otoh,

Well said. I enjoy reading Gwen and figuring out the character. She is centric and a well rounded character that no one should take her lightly.

Like you said, it's so difficult to find a well-written fic that focuses on Gwen and gives her the respect she deserves. Thanks for the recommendation!

You know how much I sympathize when it comes to Merlin fanfic! It's a rare Merlin/Arthur fic that does not alienate me with its erasure of Gwen (and ensuing OOC characterization for Arthur & Merlin). And you know how I feel about saint!Morgana--besides the moral dissonance, she's just not as interesting as her canon counterpart. It's the equivalent of fic!Arthur who gets over his magic bias too quickly
