As today is my last day in Venice, there will be more than one post. Let's kick it off with the pictorial results of my trips to Padua and Vicenza, respectively.

Wow! Padua looks nice but Vicenza looks amazing. What a fantastic theatre. Many thanks for sharing :)

You're more than welcome. Vicenza was a last minute decision: I hadn't planned on going, but my Venetian friends said I must, and was I ever grateful for listening to them!

They shot the last part of Losey's Don Giovanni in this theatre! I always imagined it was a set, but it's clearly recognisable here!

(And of course Acts I and III were at the Rotonda.)

I've never seen that production, so the Teatro Olimpico caught me unprepared!
