As far as horror tropes go, zombie stories aren't really for me. (They're depressing, you can't really negotiate with zombies, and then there's the unfortunate possible subtext which Joss Whedon lampooned when making his Mitt Romney spot.) But

It's funny, one of my many buried maybe-someday-I'll post this drafts begins with almost the same sentence, but is a review of Colson Whitehead's novel Zone One. Which I would recommend, btw.

I have not watched The Walking Dead, but Racialicious.com has done an extensive series of posts on it (possibly episode reviews?), which as you can imagine includes a lot of T-Dog and Michonne commentary.
