I can't speak for #4 since I haven't seen anything Ron Moore's written, but the other three are spot on. Well played.

You haven't watched either Star Trek: The Next Generation or Deep Space Nine then? He was one of the key scriptwriters for both as a young 'un. Though what I was spoofing was the new Battlestar Galactica where he was the showrunner.

I usually take any opportunity I can to bash RTD but I'll just refrain and laugh at all of these. Well done.

I thank you for your restraint, being fond of the Welsh One with all his flaws.

"The Blue Meanies are there. And they have a plan."

Applause!

The Joss Whedon version of Yellow Submarine would also be kinda interesting, I think, although in some ways that's pretty much the plot of Serenity. I'm not sure which of them would be River Tam though...

Pfff. River Tam is Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, of course.

River might produce some interesting conceptual art.

It's amazing how real life so neatly fits into the much-criticized tropes of beloved showrunners.

Isn't it just? Originally I wanted to do JMS as well, but his much critizised tropes don't work so well with the Beatles saga. Though I would have started the JMS version with "It was the dawning of the age of acquarius..."

I have not seen more than an episode and a half Babylon 5, so that reference goes over my head (unless you're referring to JMS' Spider-Man comics in which case--it STILL goes over my head, but it shouldn't!), but I'm sure it was very witty.

The opening of the B5 pilot starts with "it was the dawn of the third age of mankind". Incidentally, I would not advise you to start the show with the pilot, should you get around to watch it some day, but considering the season 1 dvds don't actually include the pilot this should not be a problem.
