Torchwood 4.06 The Middle Men

In which John Shiban from the X-Files is back for writing duties, and promptly gets the Deep Throat scene. Also the women continue to be awesome and this is the first episode minus either Oswald or Jilly.

The American DW movie takes place on the eve of the Millennium, right? It was just made in 1995.

True, true! I only watched it one time and had clean forgotten that.

I remember thinking right before Gwen blew up the modules that part of me felt it was a bit selfish for her to get her dad out of there and leave all the other patients behind. And then she blew up the modules and I loved her all over again. Because of course she does care about the others as well, it's just that at that point, she just doesn't have the ability to take all of them with her and care for them as well.

Yes! You can't lead a mass breakout with people who are for the largest part either unconscious, close to or at least very much slowed down due to their condition. But she made as sure as she could that they would not get murdered there in the next few days, and by then of course she hoped due to Torchwood putting the information out in the open the whole project would be scrapped.

Note: The Phi Corp guy who investigated and killed himself didn't do so because of finding about what PhiCorp was doing, but because of encountering the Blessing when exploring the secret Phi Corp property in Shanghai. We were told that there are two reactions to encountering it and what it shows one of oneself - survival or suicide. He couldn't live with what he was shown about himself.
