Thatcher's been played by a lot of British actresses (and that list also includes one man, from Spitting Image). At least one, Lindsay Duncan, cheerfully admitted to loathing her, but it's a great part, so I don't think personal views put them off.

The very point I was going to make. Andrea Riseborough said rather nice things about her, too. And of course I plan to watch this movie.

The Riseborough version was a hoot, and even lefties like me were rooting for her by the end. It probably helped that it finished just as she entered Parliament!
