Idle thought of the day: The recent anniversary release of Band on the Run reminded me that one of the people on the cover is Christopher Lee. Kenny Lynch (actor, comedian and singer), James Coburn (Paul, according to the 25th anniversary edition which is the one I have, is a Magnificent Seven fan), Clement Freud (columnist, gourmet, raconteur, Member of Parliament, Just a Minute panellist and grandson of Sigmund), Christopher Lee and John Conteh (Liverpool boxer who later became World Light-Heavyweight champion).
...George contributed the "if we ever get out of here" line as inspiration, though. :)

James Coburn is the...highest one up, yeah? I'm looking it up and he looks similar.
So is this when George stopped being mad at Paul or something?

George: actually the sentence is from one of the numerous Apple meetings in 1969, but given that Paul and Linda went to his concert (in disguise - if you've ever seen the photo, they look hilarious in Hippie wigs) during post-production of Band on the Run and there was a group hug afterwards he must have been okay-ish, which is to say, mad only on Sundays (I don't think he ever completely got over the little brother treatment because every five years or so, he fired off a disgruntled aside, but it wasn't of "never talk with you again" proportions). Also Paul went with him to the Eric Clapton/Pattie marriage and they got drunk together which must have counted as moral support or something.
