Farewell and Hello to shows

Okay, firstly, as far as Once upon a Time is concerned, this week's episode settles it: we're in Heroes season 3 territory, and I'm out of here. Regretfully, since I really loved the show and the characters, but it's always been my policy not to stick around once you derive more anger than enjoyment from a fictional source, and not to spoil things ( Read more... )

I am not all the way through, but don't mind spoilers, and very much enjoyed your review of Daredevil. My biggest investment in the series is "are these Netflix shows going to be good," so from that standard, I'm very impressed. I'm desperately hoping that Jessica Jones is great, because I adore Alias. However, I'm nervous, because Melissa Rosenberg is EPing, and while I actually like the Twilight films (which she wrote), I hate her Birds of Prey show from the early 2000s a lot, so seeing her doing a superhero show again makes me worried. But I have hopes that the source material will shine through.

re: Melissa Rosenberg, she was fantastic on Dexter, though, and the loss of quality when she left after the fourth season was immediately noticable!

OK! End of season 3 OUaT it is! I hope to get there eventually!

I think Daredevil is decisively not for me; if I'm going to suffer through television violence for a new show, I think it might be Black Sails. Maybe...

Oh, I wouldn't rec Daredevil to you mostly due to the vigilantism and the opening episode (which however is important for continuity, so can't be skipped), and on a violence scale, it definitely outranks Black Sails. *crosses fingers* *not bones*

I am sorry to hear you are no longer enjoying OUaT, because I love reading your analyses and sharing fanning joy with your, but if there is no joy, what's to share?

I cannot really get much interest in the current storyline myself. I was quite happy with it during the Frozen spell, but now it feels like more of things I don't like. I'll wait and see until the end, I guess.

Anyway, there is Penny Dreadful to look forward to!
