I saw this film earlier this month and fell so deeply in love, I saw it another 3 times the same week. I haven't done that sort of thing...ever, really. Particularly not when the film is still in theatres. Every time I see it, I feel like I'm...at home. Can't quite describe it any other way. At the same time, I find it such an emotional experience that I've needed at least 10 minutes to compose myself after each viewing. And apparently the script writer conducted interviews with many surviving LGSM members and Onllwyn residents before he wrote it and it's incredibly accurate. The only invented character was apparently Joe, the photographer. And even the awesome dance scene actually happened. Which makes it all even more incredible.

And, btw, a musical IS in the works! :)

Great review!

Yay to a musical! And I can understand it affects you so powerfully at each viewing. I don't think I'll be able to catch it in theatres again, but I'll get the dvd as soon as it's out in my region.
