Overall, it sounds like the entire series is an embarrassing mistake - ANOTHER one, that is, after Discovery aka Wrong.

This one, we may simply call Star Trek: Jumping the Shark.

The article had criticized the season finale, not the entire series. I didn't have a problem with the first two seasons of "Discovery". But I haven't been a fan of Seasons 3 and 4.
