Thanks for the thoughtful review - I've not seen the film and now wish to. Like you, I think that 5 months after Last Jedi squeaks by as being too rushed into release; I need at least 9 months to gestate another amount of Star Wars interest, ha! Or at least enough to trudge to the theater for another go. This crime story sounds okay and honestly, though I ate up each EU book with a spoon, including the YA ones, it's time to start fresh with new concepts. The exception to the last sentence is Dewlanna, or someone similar, who teaches Han to speak *!* the complex tongue. That would have been explained by a simple, "Oh right, my foster mother/friend/whatever taught me."

Looking forward to catching the film, maybe at Christmas when RL is not so Darthly. :) As with Naboo being vaguely "Tuscany," did Corellia strike you as based on any particular area of our planet?
