Hope you don't mind me leaving a comment after all this time. My husband bought me the Charmed seasons since he knew I loved it back when we were kids. And I realized that I lost interest in the show about the same time Cole was killed. I just looked at LJ to see if anyone still talked about Charmed when I came across this.

I have to say I agree with every word of this. I know this is a show about good VS evil, but like you pointed out they've had the 'good' guys do some seriously f***ked up things.

Something you didn't point out that really pissed me off about Cole/The Source 'plot' is that Cole was trying to give up his powers as the Source but Phoebe killed the wizard to stop him from giving up his powers. She very conveniently forgot that fact after Cole returned. She was forgiven no problem for being evil.

The writers destroyed a character that brought a lot to Charmed. I can't help but think that if different writers had been in charge we could have had a great character instead of the hot mess he became.
