I nearly fell out of my chair at the theater when Obi-Wan said that line about only the Sith deal in absolutes. After playing KOTOR and reviewing the other movies I had quite firmly, and stated often that the Jedi established absolutes that they could not see beyond.

Human beings have been existing with both the good and bad within themselves for most of their lives without realizing it. Why? Because all sentient beings have good and evil within themselves. It's part of nature. And it is a lot more honest to simply accept this, instead of pretending that most humans are basically good, with a little darkness within. The more you're honest with yourself about this moral complexity, the better you'll be able to balance and control those instincts in your life.
By the way, it's not going to be easy.
