I think it looks like the front end is melting :(

It does! Hah. The interior is cool, though. I really like the steering-wheel assembly.

My dad seriously chided me for mentioning that someday in the future, I might by a Yaris.

HAHA!

In your own words: There's no replacement for displacement :)

Also, consider the Versa and the Fit. Especially the Fit. Handles well, that car does :)

My cat has plenty of J-Factor, too.

I think the speedometer display is too small given the distance from the face and all that gobbidly-gook instrumentation surrounding it.

I'd probably forget I was in a car and suddenly think I was in a racing video game at Dave & Busters. Then I'd speed. That would suck.

HAH!

Can't wait till Mr. J-Factor meets Captain Bling.

I want a car that can do all the things Spike can do. Especially the approximately 4 foot standing vertical.

If you're in a car like that and you DON'T speed, then why did you waste all that money?

I think it would be interesting to look at exactly what kind of input processing and control output you would need to accomplish what you talk about in a hybrid drive train.

It seems like you could still have a clutch pedal, just it would be a kind of override control (Clutch in, clutch MUST disengage; clutch out from clutch in, clutch MUST engage).

Perhaps also a mode select switch, to set either full computer shifting, partial or full manual control.

Also I would like to see a manual CVT, you would just have a continuous shift lever similar to a throttle in an airplane.

I cannot dismiss the possibility of it being awesome.

Toyota will find a way to make it suck.

Also, I think your cost-benefit analyses are a little weird. Finally, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a bit of a prudish purist in this case :)
