If you have the finances, I've always felt the Acura RSX to be a beautiful piece of automotive engineering. It's one of the very few cars I'd take without hesitation over a 3000GT. Stylish design, compact, yet packs a mighty punch. Acuras, in my opinion, have always been a reliable luxury make, and any RSX models I've ridden in or driven have more than lived up to Acura's reputation.
Consider though getting the best warranty you can if you go with the Acura. Eventually, it _will_ need fixing down the road, and Acura parts are quite a bit more expensive than your standard Civic, I would think.
Who's talking about the standard Civic? I'm talking about the 2006 Civic SI...
I drove the RSX, and the RSX-S today. I would rather buy the standard Civic, frankly -- ask me in person sometime as to why -- but the SI is almost a sure deal. I've got the money saved up...*drool*
I was shocked by the RSX -- mostly shocked by my leaning towards the Civic over it. I honestly did not expect the Civic to impress, but that clutch...wow. I couldn't make it squeal if I wanted to. Beautiful.
