Has anyone read Nocturnal Witchcraft: Magick After Dark by Konstantinos? Our coven is considering it for our next book study, and I'd appreciate any feedback you might have on it.
From all I've heard of the guy (and I've read bits of pieces of the book myself), its really just Wicca/Magic 101 with "dark themes" and the usual fluffy cruft, imho. There isn't much originality to it at all.
Hmmm, that does NOT sound promising. There were four reviews on Alibris that I read about it; three said it was "wonderful!", and the fourth said pretty much what you did, that it's mainly the usual 'fluffy bunny' stuff with some darkness thrown in. I have to admit, though, that I'm a bit curious as to HOW you can make the fluffy bunny dark... ;-)
I picked up it up months and months ago because I was intrigued by his description of a ritual in which he encountered Ereshkigal. That part I liked, but since I was already studying Hermetic magic with my teacher, and since I really wasn't interested in studying a form which was polarized, I didn't dig into it deeply.
