Ho ho, I wrote this once, and there certainly wasn't any love involved. It was more a case of there being the vague potential for love, but all in all it was very clearly about the sex, not the feelings. And no, they weren't virgins, and I believe Aerith ended up with a bad back and blood under her nails. Heh.

4) *nodnods* FFVII's religious side is nowhere near the levels taken in, say, Xenogears (and definitely Tactics, hooo boy). With such an obvious void in terms of specific religious doctrine, why is the idea that virginity=purity so prevalent? It seems more like a case of using your own standards to judge a character, which is completely fine, I guess. It's just weird that it's like the "default" assumption for Aerith, and any suggestion that she's not a virgin gets you that you've-grown-three-extra-heads vibe.

3) Weeeeeell, Cloud did spend two years in the army... *ducks* But yeah, between the two of them, my bet would be on a virgin!Cloud.

I totally understand what you mean about Aerith, who for some reason is seen as a free spirit in every way BUT sexually. :P

I might sound like a terrible person, but for heaven's sake I wish that both Aeris and Cleris could be portrayed in a more sensual or sexual light. That sort of thing adds a layer to relationships that's incredibly intriguing to me.
