*shudders* I'm actually scared to post this. Haven't written anything in forever. Un-betaed, raw, 2AM piece, pleasedon'tkill. This is just dealing with that damn plot bunny that's been biting me since AC.

Thanks, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
and show Cloud in his true, deranged colours, that make me remember why I love this ship so much.
Deranged Cloud is, indeed, ftw.

Great piece! I think I stopped breathing in there sometime and when I got to the last line Whooosh! You got me, kiddo. Very powerful.

I was afraid the title would've revealed it, but I'm glad it didn't. >D
Thank you! You know I love your work, Miko, so hearing this totally made my day!

Is it bad I wanted to laugh at the image of Cloud searching for the ribbon through the bits of the Carcass of Whatnot? 'Nothing behind a pound of flesh, either'. Lovely. :D

No no, I was definitely hoping someone would get my morbid sense of humour with that line. XD And in case you're curious, the Carcass is from the monster boss that Cloud & Co. have to fight immediately after Aerith's death.

Ugh, I felt so sad at this sentence, it's so powerful!
I LOVE this fic - this is why you must go back into writing more fanfics!!! It's so real the way you describe the kind of silence after a death where everyone feels arkward and nobody knows what to say, or if anything should be said. LOVE IT. Write more! xD

*cackles* I like torturing them with every reminder of Aerith. Thanks!
I thought the total lack of words added to the beauty-- but also heaviness-- of Aerith's burial. Even when she died, it was fast and wordless and cruel.
I'm so glad you liked this! God knows I've promised fics before and haven't delivered. :P
