After seeing how well Windows 7 was doing on the desktop at home, I decided to try it out on my laptop this weekend. Overall it was an improvement over XP, but I did run into a few issues the desktop didn't. My graphics card didn't seem to want to recognize the directX install under 7, so I had to run World of Warcraft in OpenGL mode. Suffice it to ( Read more... )

Yeah, Win7 is, so far, an actual improvement over its predecessors (well, it wasn't hard to improve over Vista). I don't quite dare make it my full-time environment at work, unfortunately, but I have toyed with it enough to be looking forward to being able to ditch Vista...

I don't think I'm brave enough to use a beta as my everyday OS. If I had the money, I would be brave enough to buy a netbook like the Lenovo one and hack Mac OS X onto it, though, so who am I to judge?
