This happens in Lovely Lover universe :3 and this is dedicated to all my loyal readers XDD enjoy~
Rule Number Twenty
It was March 14, the supposedly second most romantic day next to Valentine’s Day. Unless, of course, if you’re talking about the Pi Day instead. Stores everywhere were still selling chocolates and roses in hopes of increasing their profit by using this particular event, and couples who had no work or school to do were out with each other, celebrating said White Day.
However, the students of a particular school weren’t as lucky.
Junsu leaned back on his seat and sighed audibly, frowning a little as he rested his hands on his lap. It was White Day, but they were stuck at school, only let out around three p.m., and almost all students were grunting, grumbling, and sighing while slouching or leaning back in their seats.
The category of almost all students, however, only included Junsu, and not Changmin and Jaejoong who were seated in their seats properly, eyes scanning the texts in various thick textbooks they borrowed from the library for research purpose, since the two were paired to write a Biology paper.
And thus, he was left to suffer alone.
Why, you ask? For one, Yoochun was currently out to meet a teacher regarding his last paper, and the music assignment he submitted last month. The teachers thought it was good, and they wanted to talk about copyrighting it with him, so he wasn’t there with the other three.
Next, the school had just emphasized a rule. A rule that all students hate (again, except Changmin and Jaejoong), that is, rule number twenty.
What does the rule say, you ask?
Rule number twenty: Students are not allowed to be intimate with each other in school area, especially making physical contacts.
The day before, a couple was caught kissing in a storeroom at the back of the school during lunch break by the school officials. Needless to say, they were given a warning and a detention, and the school officials emphasized on the rule.
“I know you’re finished with the paper since your partner is the most diligent student in school, but can you stop sighing and acting like an old man?” Jaejoong asked finally after Junsu sighed for the umpteenth time, and Junsu was secretly glad he had caught the older boy’s attention since he was bored at hell.
“I’m bored,” Junsu pouted.
“I’m sure you are. Go get something to read,” Jaejoong replied nonchalantly as he returned to his paper.
“I don’t like to read,” Junsu added, still pouting.
“Then go to sleep.”
”You’re no fun,” Junsu whined and latched himself to Jaejoong’s side.
“You’re heavy, Su. How do you expect me to turn the page if I can’t move my arm?” Jaejoong asked, looking at Junsu who was still pouting and sighing.
“Ha! You sighed too!” Junsu accused, pointing a finger at him. “You’re acting like an old man too!”
“That’s because you’re acting like a baby,” Jaejoong shook his head. “No, seriously, go get something to do.”
“I want to talk to you,” Junsu stated resolutely.
“Fine, then talk. But don’t expect me to reply,” Jaejoong said and returned to his work, but was stopped by Junsu who was now shaking him with all his might.
“Hyung~!” Junsu whined again.
“Argh, why don’t you bother Minnie instead?” Jaejoong managed to ask while he was still shook by Junsu.
“Minnie’s no fun,” Junsu stopped shaking him and pouted again, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
“Fine, fine, what do you want to talk about?” Jaejoong asked, raising his hands up in defeat.
“You’re lucky your boyfriend is not a student of this school,” Junsu mumbled softly.
Jaejoong looked at him, blinked, and promptly returned to his paper.
“Yah, hyung! Don’t ignore me!” Junsu tugged at Jaejoong’s arm. “I’m really bored! At least reply!”
“But that’s pointless!” Jaejoong exclaimed as he tried to free his arm from Junsu’s vice grip.
“I never say pointless things!” Junsu defended himself.
“Psh, like I’d believe you,” Jaejoong snorted. “You told me you missed your pink socks last week!”
“Hyung~! That was supposed to be a secret!” Junsu whined as he saw Changmin trying to stifle his laughter while his other hand stopped writing because it had started to shake.
“Oh, sorry.”
“Apology not accepted, make up to me! At least respond to my statement,” Junsu demanded.
“Fine. Tell you what, I don’t have a boyfriend,” Jaejoong said simply, his fingers twirling the pen he held.
“Eh!? Since when don’t you acknowledge Yunho-hyung?” Junsu shrieked-or squeaked-as his eyes widened in disbelief. “I thought you two were doing just fine!”
“We are doing just fine,” Jaejoong sighed tiredly. “He’s not a boyfriend, Su-ie. I can break up with a boyfriend, but I can’t break up with him. I’m sure Mother will flip if I do.”
“Ah,” Junsu mumbled and nodded when he noticed his mistake. “What did the two of you do for Valentine’s Day last month?’ he asked, feeling a little curious since he knew the pair’s relationship had taken a huge step forward a few days before said day.
“Nothing much,” Jaejoong shrugged, still twirling the pen. “We went for a dinner, that’s all. Now, if you’d excuse me, I have to finish this paper by today so I can relax during the weekend. If I don’t, you’ll have to eat take-outs during weekend,” he threatened.
Junsu pouted but said nothing. Jaejoong knew he hated take-outs and preferred home-made dishes, and that trick always worked.
Jaejoong patted Junsu’s shoulder sympathetically. “Cheer up, Su. It’s just another hour until school is out. Then you can dash out of school area and make out with Chun!” he suggested cheerfully.
Junsu choked on his own spit.
“Hyung~!”
“What? You were the one sulking about the rule all day!” Jaejoong defended himself and resumed his work, Changmin nodding in agreement beside him.
Junsu stuck his tongue out at Jaejoong and sulked again. “You’re lucky you don’t have to suffer since your fiancé is not here anyway,” he added bitterly.
“Whatever you say, Su,” Jaejoong shrugged and kept on writing. How he managed to listen, speak, think, read, and write at the same time always amazed the other three of their group. It was as if Jaejoong was a woman inside, since usually women are better at multi-tasking.
Forty five minutes later, Jaejoong’s cell-which had been borrowed by Junsu to entertain himself-vibrated and Junsu looked at the caller ID.
“Hey hyung, your fiancé calls,” Junsu announced.
“Answer it,” Jaejoong said flatly, still working on the paper as Changmin stretched beside him, obviously finished with his part.
“Hello?” Junsu answered as he pressed the green button and brought it to his ear.
“Hello?” another voice asked from the other hand. “Hey, Junsu, where’s Jae?”
“He’s busy with his Biology paper at the moment. Do you want to talk to him?” Junsu asked, looking at Jaejoong who was finishing his paper up.
“Oh, no, it’s alright, I don’t want to bother him. Tell him I’m waiting at the usual spot,” Yunho requested.
“Alright,” Junsu agreed, then paused. “Oh wait, he’s finished. Do you want to talk to him now?” he asked again, watching as Jaejoong wrote the last line, and handed his part to Changmin who immediately began reviewing it.
“Give it to him,” Yunho said and Junsu handed the cell phone to Jaejoong.
“Hey,” Jaejoong greeted. “You arrived?” he asked.
“Yep, last class was let out early,” Yunho answered, and Jaejoong could almost see Yunho grinning at the other end. “Plus, it’s White Day.”
“What’s so special about it?” Jaejoong snorted, packing his things up and putting them away in his book bag. “Su-ah has also been talking about it constantly.”
“You’re no fun.”
“You talk exactly like him.”
“I do?”
“Yeah.”
“Anyway…” Yunho trailed off. “I’ll be waiting at the usual spot. I’ll take you out to dinner tonight.”
“Okay,” Jaejoong agreed and looked at the clock. It was only ten minutes before the last bell would ring.
“See you soon,” Yunho greeted. “Love you always.”
“I know.”
“What did he say?” Junsu asked, latching himself onto Jaejoong again as he put his cell phone in his pocket.
“None of your business,” Jaejoong said with a slight grin.
“Meanie.”

The next day, all students were gathered in the field by their headmaster, and everybody were whispering with each other, randomly guessing what could their principal wanted to talk about.
“What do you think it is?” Junsu asked to Changmin and Yoochun.
“Maybe another couple got caught kissing or something?” Changmin offered.
Then, the headmaster’s voice blared through the speaker. “Attention, all students!” he called. “I am now revising a rule in this school, particularly the rule you all know so well. The rule number twenty.”
Whispers were heard all around again, before they were silenced by the headmaster himself.
“Thanks to a couple I met yesterday, I noticed there is a flaw in this rule,” he started. “I hereby change the rule into: Students are not allowed to be intimate in school area, especially making physical contacts!”
“That’s strange,” Junsu commented, then looked at Jaejoong. “Don’t tell me he’s talking about you.”
“Hm?” Jaejoong asked back innocently. “Excuse me for a while…”
He quickly typed a message with his cell phone and sent it.
Send to: My Yunho <3
Message: You’re right, Yunnie. He did change it XD Don’t forget to pick me up this afternoon. Love you too
-.-.-.-.-. flashback -.-.-.-.-.
“Hey Boo,” Yunho greeted as he stood in front of his car. “Happy White Day,” he added as he pulled Jaejoong into a hug.
“Where’s the chocolate?” Jaejoong asked as he looked inside Yunho’s car. He spotted a huge baby blue teddy bear and a box of chocolate in the back seat.
“Like it?” Yunho asked, still not letting go of Jaejoong.
“Yes, thank you,” Jaejoong mumbled and hugged Yunho back. “Let’s go before a teacher caught us. You know that rule.”
Yunho grinned. “Yes I know. I was a student here too, you know,” he said, kissing Jaejoong’s forehead. “Let’s go then,” he said as he let go of Jaejoong, but then bent down to kiss him on the lips chastely.
“Mr. Jung! Mr. Kim! That’s a violation of rule number twenty!” the beloved headmaster of the high school hollered as he turned around the corner and saw the exchange. He then stormed towards them.
“Mr. Kim, you know that this could give you a detention or worse, right?” he asked, frowning at Jaejoong.
Jaejoong instinctively grasped Yunho’s hand, urging him to say something since he himself was at a loss of words.
“Mr. Kim,” the headmaster warned again, looking at their hands.
“Oh,” Jaejoong mumbled and was about to let go of Yunho’s hand, but Yunho held his hand and didn’t let go.
“Now, now, Mr. Lee. How did we violate that rule?” Yunho asked, grinning a little.
“You two are being intimate! And doing physical contacts!” Mr. Lee bit back at him.
Yunho’s grin became wider. He knew Mr. Lee was a kind man at heart.
“Ah, I believe the rule says: Students are not allowed to be intimate with each other in school area, am I wrong?” Yunho asked, and Mr. Lee looked at him strangely.
“in case you forgot, Mr. Lee, I am no longer a student of this school, which makes us a student and an alumnus. You certainly didn’t write a rule for that.”
Mr. Lee looked shocked, but knew that he had lost. He glared at Yunho. “Just you wait, Jung!” he snorted and stormed off again.
Jaejoong looked at the retreating principal worriedly. “Yunho… what if he gave me a detention anyway?”
“No worries, Boo,” Yunho shook his head and patted Jaejoong’s. “He’s not a sore loser. But do expect him to review the rule tomorrow,” he said with a very wide grin.
-.-.-.-.-. end of flashback -.-.-.-.-.
No Physical Contact!
The rule is as follows: “Students are not allowed to be intimate in the school area, especially making physical contacts”. Very funny. I’ve heard of why it was added as a rule, but it was funny as well.
We like to make fun of it lately, and whenever we touch our friends of the same gender, the others will start to exclaim “Rule number twenty!” and we’ll all laugh. A couple of year ten students were caught kissing on the second floor and were sent home and not allowed to come to school for a period of time. The day after, the teachers emphasized on that particular rule, and that’s the only rule every student in my school memorizes so well XDD
