Enjoy~ this is set in LL verse, by the way
What am I?
“Umma!” Ji Yul exclaimed excitedly as she rushed into the living room with a drawing paper in hand, and jumped onto the couch, hugging Jaejoong’s ever growing belly tightly.
“Hey now, am I still your umma, or has your umma changed to just my tummy?” Jaejoong asked as he shoved a spoonful of strawberry yoghurt into his mouth.
Ji Yul giggled, and kissed Jaejoong on the cheek. “Of course you are still my umma! Don’t be silly!” she said, then she looked around, “Where’s Appa?”
“He’s watering the garden,” Jaejoong motioned at the back garden, and finished his yoghurt. “Is there anything you want me to see?”
“Oh, look at this!” Ji Yul said happily, beaming as she shoved the paper at Jaejoong. “This is a picture of us! My teacher asked me to draw a picture of us in a unique way.”
Jaejoong took the paper, and looked at it blankly. “Uhm… in a unique way?”
“Yes!” Ji Yul smiled widely and proudly. “I got A for that!”
“Oh… okay… but… why penguins?” Jaejoong raised an eyebrow at her, and looked back at the picture. It was a picture of two big penguins, one with a big belly, and one small penguin.
“That’s because~” Ji Yul giggled again, “Appa is just like a male penguin!”
Jaejoong looked at her. “Tell me something I don’t know,” he said, still feeling a little lost.
“Well~ Appa makes the “nest” for us. He also works hard to be a good house-husband! Male penguins do that so their mates don’t leave them!” Ji Yul explained eagerly. “I said the same thing to my teacher, and she gave me an A.”
“That’s nice,” Jaejoong smiled at her, and patted her head. “Go give this to your Appa. He might want it laminated.”
Ji Yul hopped off the couch and rushed to the garden where Yunho was, still watering the flowers that Jaejoong had decided to plant.
She said the exact same thing to Yunho, and he just smiled at her.
“You know, that’s not entirely true,” Yunho said as he wiped his hand first before patting Ji Yul’s head. “You know why?”
Ji Yul looked at him in confusion, and shook her head slowly.
“Because your Umma won’t leave even if I don’t.”
