The second chapter.  I don’t plan to end it in this chapter x3 maybe in the next, or it could drag on to the fourth.  Who knows.  A scene of this chapter is partially inspired by a scene in Detective Conan.

It seems that everyone thinks that the Beast lost his memories.  Well, we’ll get another clue on what’s really happening in this chapter :3 but it’s not the answer yet

Ah, and being out of topic again :D I’ve just recently got to like Caramelldansen.  Have you heard about it? :3  try the original version, not the sped up version.  It’s really nice, I think

Anyway, enjoy~

When They Meet

Junsu sighed like an old man as he dragged his seemingly heavy feet along with him.  He didn’t want to be the one to break the news to Jaejoong, but he had to know, one way or another.

Maybe he could let the Beast tell it himself.

“Junsu?” Jaejoong asked when he saw Junsu walking slowly.  “What’s wrong?  Did you get lost or something?”

“Yeah, somewhat,” Junsu pouted.  “I’m sorry, I couldn’t get any of you what you asked.”

“Huh?  That’s strange.  Shouldn’t you be able to take a rose from the Beast’s garden?” Yoochun inquired as he stood beside Jaejoong, welcoming Junsu as well.

“Am I the only one who doesn’t read fairy tales in this place?” Jaejoong’s eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

“It seems so.  But it’s more fun if at least one of us doesn’t know the story, right?” Junsu beamed at him.  “And, well, I didn’t succeed in getting the rose from his place.  I still have to take one of you there, though.”

“Why?” Jaejoong raised an eyebrow.

“Because he needs a companion,” Junsu stated simply as he shrugged.  “So who would like to go?”

“I’ll go,” Jaejoong offered.  “I’m sure you two won’t want to be separated anyway,” he added.

“Uwaaaaaaaaaa~!” Junsu suddenly cried as he hugged tightly onto Jaejoong.  “I’m sorry hyung~!”

“E-eh!?  What’s wrong!?” Jaejoong panicked as he looked at Yoochun, asking him what was happening.

Yoochun shrugged, then pried Junsu off of Jaejoong.  “What happened?”

Junsu sniffed.  “I can’t tell yet! Jaejoong-hyung has to discover it himself!”

“Don’t-don’t tell me-“ Jaejoong looked shocked.

“Yes…” Junsu sobbed as he hugged onto Yoochun and cried again.

“Changmin got transformed into a beast, and all he can eat is bones!?” Jaejoong shrieked in panic.  “Oh my goodness, I have to go there immediately and prepare some food for him!”

Junsu and Yoochun fell to the floor.

“Eh?  Did I say something wrong?” Jaejoong looked at the two.

“Ah… don’t mind us,” Yoochun massaged his throbbing temple while Junsu shot him a blank look.  “You should just go, and you’ll know.  Meanwhile, I will ask Junsu personally what happened.”

“Okay then,” Jaejoong agreed, and went towards the carriage.  He got in, then looked at the two, who looked back at him.

“What?” Yoochun asked.  “You want us to go with you?”

“That’s not it, I just don’t know the way there!”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

Jaejoong arrived at the manor at about sunset, and he was about to step down when the horse suddenly ran away, dragging the carriage with him, and resulting in his fall.

“Ah!” he shouted as he screwed his eyes shut, ready to hit the ground.

“Are you alright?”

Jaejoong snapped his eyes open to look at his savior.  What greeted him was a furry face of a huge beast.

“Yu-Yunho…?” he stuttered as he turned around, and raised his hands to cup the Beast’s face.  “It is you…”

The beast grabbed Jaejoong’s hands, and took them away.  “I don’t know who that is, and why the two of you keep mentioning that name,” he said simply.  “I am not him.  Anyway, I’ll be going now, make yourself at home.”

“Wait!  Yunho!” Jaejoong was about to give chase when a hand stopped him.

“Don’t,” Changmin shook his head.  “Let’s first get you in the house,” he added with a smile, and motioned at the house.  “I’ll help you unpack before dinner time.”

Jaejoong looked at him, then reluctantly nodded.  “Okay,” he then followed Changmin into the house, while the Beast watched them from the back garden.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

“Ah, I’m beat!” Changmin exclaimed as he walked into the dining room together with Jaejoong, seemingly forgetting his plan of changing his schedules.  “Let’s have something to eat~!”

As they entered the dining room, the Beast was already seated on one of the dining chairs, a full course meal in front of him, and two others on the seats across his, at the other side of the long dining table.

Jaejoong noticed that the Beast had not touched his food yet.  “Is he waiting for us?” he thought.  “Beast-shii… may I sit beside you?”

“No,” the Beast answered coldly.  “I’ve told you, I don’t know who that man is.  I don’t care if he’s your brother, friend, or what.  It has nothing to do with me.”

“Uhm,” Jaejoong nodded with a sigh, and sat on the chair, with Changmin beside him.

“Cheer up, hyung,” Changmin said as he patted Jaejoong’s shoulder.  “I’ll take you on a tour of this manor once we’re finished.  You might find something you’d really like.  Or not.”

“Okay,” Jaejoong reluctantly agreed, and frowned, wondering what was happening in the manor.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

“This is the study,” Changmin said as he opened the door to the room, and showed the inside to Jaejoong.  “The Beast likes to come here during his free time.  If he’s not here, then he’s probably in the back garden or his own room.”

“I see,” Jaejoong nodded, and they continued walking.  “Then, what room is that?” he asked, pointing at the only room with multiple locks on it.

“Ah, so you noticed,” Changmin nodded thoughtfully.  “That’s a room no outsider should look upon.  However, I think you have the right to look inside,” he added, and walked towards it, closely followed by Jaejoong.

Changmin swung his wand, and five golden keys appeared in front of him, floating and inserting themselves into the keyholes, and turning simultaneously, unlocking the door.

“What is inside, is something that is yours,” Changmin stated, and let Jaejoong in first.

Jaejoong walked in, and paused.  “Yunho…”

On the bed in the room, Yunho lay, covered with the blanket up to his chest.

“He’s in a trance, somewhat,” Changmin said as he walked closer to Jaejoong.  “You are the key of breaking his trance, but you have to find the way yourself.”

“Changmin-ah…” Jaejoong called softly.  “If… if you were to find your boyfriend unconscious for whatever reason, what would you do?”

“Eh?” Changmin blinked at him.  “Uhm… normally, I would be worried, or cry.”

“I see,” Jaejoong nodded.

“Eh, but that doesn’t mean anything!  I guess you’re just not the crybaby type, like me!” Changmin corrected quickly as he saw that Jaejoong didn’t even shed a single tear.

“That’s okay,” Jaejoong shook his head.  “Let’s continue the tour, shall we?” he asked.

“Yeah, okay,” Changmin agreed, and walked out of the room with Jaejoong, re-locking the room with the keys, and making them disappear.

They were walking towards the back garden when they suddenly heard a loud crash, and saw the Beast lying at the foot of a set of stairs.

“Oh no, he must’ve fallen from the stairs,” Changmin groaned as he rushed towards the Beast with Jaejoong.  “Hyung, help me get him to a room.”

“The closest would be my room, no?” Jaejoong asked as he looked around, then rushed to unlock his room, before he went back to Changmin’s side and helped him carry the Beast inside.

Once inside, they laid the Beast down on Jaejoong’s bed, and covered him with the white blanket up to his chest.

“Aish, this reckless guy,” Changmin huffed as he sat down on a chair, and Jaejoong sat down on the edge of the bed, looking at the Beast’s face.

“Min…”

“Yes?” Changmin raised an eyebrow.

“You are right,” Jaejoong said softly, and turned to look at him, “the tears… they won’t stop.”

“It’s true… just like what Junsu-hyung said…” Changmin thought as he saw Jaejoong’s tear-stained face.
