PART TWO
“Hey all,” Jaejoong greeted as he walked into the lounge. “Yunho wanted me to ask something, and introduce a new host to you guys,” he announced.
“Oh? Who is it?” Heechul asked as he looked up from his book.
“It’s my brother Kim Junsu,” Jaejoong said, and Junsu walked into the lounge. “Please welcome him.”
“Su-ah!?” Yoochun exclaimed in surprise. “I thought you didn’t let him work!”
“Well, he was still in high school, so I didn’t,” Jaejoong shrugged. “He got to college with full scholarship, so I finally decided to let him work on one condition. If his score lowers because of his work, he’ll stop working immediately.”
“Pleased to meet all of you,” Junsu bowed at them.
“He’s accepted as a host because older females like boys like him,” Jaejoong explained.
“Well, they’ll have to know how to control themselves then,” Yoochun huffed. “Because I have no intention of sharing.”
The others laughed at him.
“Hosts aren’t allowed to make intimate physical contacts with the customers, stupid,” Heechul said as he went back to his book.
“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that,” Yoochun looked at Junsu and patted the empty spot beside him. “Come here, Su-ah.”
Junsu nodded at Jaejoong and walked over to Yoochun.
“Now, about the question,” Jaejoong started. “Right after he graduates from college, he’s going to inherit the food company from his parents,” Jaejoong explained. “But he’ll still work in this shop with me. He still controls the company, but from his house. As to the matters in the office, it’s given to Kyuhyun, his secretary.”
Heechul nodded. “I see. He seems to trust Kyuhyun a lot,” he commented. “It’s normal though. He’s hard-working and trustworthy.”
“So, after he graduates, the opening hours of this shop will extend, and it will open all working days, Monday to Friday, from eleven in the morning, to seven in the evening.”
“And what’s the question?” Shiwon asked in confusion.
“Oh that’s right,” Jaejoong snapped his fingers. “He asks whether you guys are going to still work here after you graduate or not. He says it’s okay if you don’t want to.”
Heechul burst out laughing at that, and Shiwon, Yoochun and Changmin soon followed.
“That,” Heechul said in between his laughter, “is the stupidest question he’s ever asked.”
“Does he even have to ask?” Changmin asked, still laughing.
“Of course we’re staying here,” Shiwon said, smiling a little.
“We are, after all, a part of this shop that keeps it running. If we’re not here, then the system of this shop will have to change, right?” Yoochun said.
Jaejoong looked at them, and laughed as well. “I guess you’re right. That’s the stupidest question.”
Heechul smirked. “Now go tell your stupid lover what we said.”
“Okay~!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Dinner had just ended in Yunho’s house, and everyone was back to whatever they were doing previously. Junsu was playing with the dogs, Shi Han was working on a report, and such.
“Jae,” Yunho called right before they walked into their shared room. “I- I need to say something very important to you, so please keep quiet until I finish talking, and don’t be sarcastic.”
“Okay,” Jaejoong agreed.
“You know… we didn’t really start off on the right foot, what with the debt, the theft, the insult and the threat…” Yunho mumbled. “But I never regretted my decisions. I never regretted what I did… what you did… what everyone else did.”
“So, I was angry when Hankyung kissed you, but it was forced… and I was very thankful when you came to save me twice,” he said, cupping Jaejoong’s face. “You were, are, and will always be a perfect lover, Jae-ah…”
“Now… what I want to say is… that you were my first lover. Jae Young was my first, although it was only a fake relationship. And you are my second,” Yunho said softly. “I want you to be my first and my last… I don’t want to leave you ever again… not for anything…”
“Yunho…” Jaejoong mumbled as he moved his hand to rest on Yunho’s shoulder, but Yunho shook his head.
“I know this is too fast, Jae, but others are even faster,” he said slowly, almost nervously. Jaejoong looked at him in concern, and he shot him his best reassuring smile.
“My question is…” Yunho took a deep breath. “Will you marry me?”
Jaejoong swore there were loud cheers and fireworks outside when Yunho asked that, but before he could get a look, they all disappeared, as if they weren’t there in the first place.
He looked up and opened his mouth to answer. “I- gyaaah!”
Yunho turned around and almost fell down. Junsu, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Yehsung, Shindong, Shi Han, and the maids were all standing behind the walls, hunched and ears directed at them to hear Jaejoong’s answer. Even Gii, Kai, and Hisa were there too.
“What are you guys doing there!?” he protested.
“We’re only passing here! Right?” Junsu asked cheerfully as he turned to the others who quickly nodded.
“Somehow I find it a little unsettling,” Jaejoong commented.
“Aw, just answer his question already! Don’t make him wait!” Junsu whined, and the others nodded in agreement.
“Oh fine,” Jaejoong huffed, and pulled Yunho to look at him. “You want to know what my answer is?” he asked, grinning mischievously.
Yunho nodded, somehow knowing Jaejoong’s answer wouldn’t be a simple yes or no.
“That,” Jaejoong started, “is the stupidest question you’ve ever asked me.”
The cheers were heard again, and this time it didn’t vanish in a second. Junsu bounded over to him and enveloped him in a tight hug, congratulating him on making a correct decision. His father walked over to pat him on the back and give him his blessings, followed by Donghae, Eunyuk, Yehsung, Shindong, the dogs, and finally the maids.
“Geez, they didn’t even let me say anything!” Yunho complained loudly, sulking as he was forced to wait for an hour before he could talk to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong laughed and brushed Yunho’s hair with his hand. They were currently sitting on the couch like that time, before Jaejoong and his family moved into Yunho’s house.
“Aw, at least you have me now,” Jaejoong cooed, pinching Yunho’s cheeks.
“And forever,” Yunho grinned.
“That’s not funny,” Jaejoong stared at him impassively.
“I wasn’t trying to be funny,” Yunho shrugged. “But really, is it a stupid question?”
“Of course it is,” Jaejoong laughed. “Do you even have to ask? Just give me the ring and I’ll put it on.”
“Materialistic jerk,” Yunho laughed, and rolled off to avoid Jaejoong’s whack. Staying with him for three years had trained his reflexes.
“Whatever you say,” Jaejoong shrugged.
“Show me your hand, Boo,” Yunho said as he sat up and extended his hand towards Jaejoong.
Jaejoong gave him his hand, and Yunho took out a small platinum ring with a small cat’s eye on top from his pocket.
“You’re going to help me choose a wedding ring one day,” Yunho said as he kissed the back of Jaejoong’s hand.
“Is that your way of saying “you have to choose your own wedding ring”?” Jaejoong teased.
“Shut up and appreciate.”
“Okay, okay.”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“Morning Mrs. Jung~!” Junsu greeted as he walked across the dining room, and ducked to avoid the flying rolled up newspaper courtesy of Jaejoong. “What’s for breakfast today?” he asked cheerily.
“Nothing if you keep that up,” Jaejoong rolled his eyes and continued cooking.
Yunho had insisted that he shouldn’t cook because the maids were in charge of it, but Jaejoong said he wanted to cook because he didn’t work in a restaurant anymore, and he didn’t want his cooking skills to get rusty.
“Morning Boo,” Yunho greeted as he walked into the kitchen. “It smells nice.”
“Thank you,” Jaejoong smiled as he turned off the stove, and took the frying pan. “I made some bacons and toast. And smoked beef. I don’t know, Yehsung said he likes it.”
“Oh, him. Don’t mind him, he has a strange taste,” Yunho shrugged, and went out of the kitchen. “I’m taking a bath first.”
“Okay!”
Breakfast was passed in relative peace as they all gathered in the dining room to eat together. The dogs were at the back, enjoying their own breakfast.
“I’m going first!” Junsu announced as he got up from his seat. “I have morning club activities today,” he added, and kissed Jaejoong and Shi Han’s foreheads. “I’ll see you later!”
Minutes later, Jaejoong and Yunho walked out as well, and were greeted by Donghae who had waited for them.
“In a hurry?” Donghae asked.
“Not really,” Yunho shook his head. “You don’t have to speed.”
Donghae nodded in understanding. He got into the driver’s seat, and the two got into the backseat.
“Oh before I forgot,” Donghae said as he fastened his seatbelt, “If you ever need someone to drive you around during your honeymoon, feel free to bring me with you.”
And he sped away, not letting the two say anything about what he had just said.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“I’m going to be it,” Junsu said with an air of finality.
“I am going to be it,” Yoochun argued.
“No, it’s me!” Heechul shouted.
Changmin looked at Shiwon. “They’re at it again?”
Shiwon nodded grimly. “They’ve been arguing over it again.”
“I’m Jaejoong-hyung’s brother, of course he’ll choose me!” Junsu argued.
“I know Yunho the longest!” Yoochun argued.
“I called that position first!” Heechul argued back.
Jaejoong walked in, and the three looked at him instantly. “Who’s going to be the best man!?” they asked-more like demanded, though.
“Come again?” Jaejoong asked, not sure he had heard right.
“Who’s going to be the best man?” Changmin asked, slower this time.
“Oh!” Jaejoong nodded in understanding.
“It’s me!” Junsu shouted.
“No! It’s me!” Yoochun shouted back.
“No way! It’s going to be me!” Heechul shouted back as loud.
“What are you three talking about?” Jaejoong asked in confusion. “We agreed to let Hankyung be the best man.”
“What!?” the three asked disbelievingly, and Changmin snickered behind them. “Why!?” they whined.
“Because, Yunho agreed to let him,” Jaejoong started, “and he was one of the reasons we’re like this now. Aside from Jinja, Stephanie, and his parents, of course.”
“Not fair!” Junsu whined.
“I demand you to rethink it!” Yoochun whined too.
Yunho walked in and was confused to see his hosts whining on the couch, angsting over how bad their luck was.
“What’s going on in here?” he asked.
“Oh no, just those guys being stupid,” Changmin rolled his eyes. “Are the customers coming already?”
“Yes.”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Whispers were heard as groups of females stood in front of a coffee shop, trying to peek inside through the glass windows that weren’t painted with the logo of the shop. The inside was pretty much still empty, and the door was still locked.
Suddenly, a group of boys walked out of the back door and towards the front door. One of them turned the “closed” sign to “open”, another unlocked the door. Two held onto the handle, and they were standing in two columns that consisted of three people in each column.
And then, as the doors were opened, the lights were turned on, and the smell of fresh coffee wafted out of the shop, making the customers sigh in delight. The boys smiled charmingly at them, and gestured at them to walk into the shop.
“Welcome to Coffee Prince!”
End of Epilogue
I experimented with a new way of ending things, but this ending is similar to Ouran’s ending :3 I was thinking of using the ending of one of the two shows this series is based on, and I decided on Ouran. Well, it’s not really similar since I didn’t watch it, but you know what I mean, right? :3
Oh, and in case you’re wondering what Jae meant by “not funny” when Yunho said “and forever”, it was actually a parody of Utada Hikaru’s First Love, when she said “Now and forever” X3 I know it’s not funny.
