Never Met a Man Like You

Here's the thing I was minding my own business doin' what I do

Jaejoong slowly and hesitantly walked into the small local bar along with another man who was considerably taller than him.  It was unnerving him, going into a place like this for business reasons was always against his principle, but his boss had demanded that he went with their client.

“Oh come on, don’t be so tense, baby,” the taller man whispered lowly as he wrapped his arm around Jaejoong’s waist, pulling him closer to his side.

“Uh… yeah…” Jaejoong said uneasily as he tried to subtly pry the man’s hand off of him.  “We’re here to talk about the negotiation, don’t forget.”

“Of course, of course,” the man laughed it off.  “If you serve me well tonight, I’ll agree to it.”

“Serve you well?” Jaejoong frowned, but they were already inside the bar, loud music blaring from all the speakers at the corners, nearly deafening him.

“Come on, let’s get something to drink,” the man grinned lopsidedly, almost lecherously, and dragged Jaejoong over to the bar, where he forced him to sit on the stool beside him.

I wasn't trying to look for anything, all of a sudden couldn't take my eyes off you

“Sir, you’re nearly drunk,” Jaejoong said softly as he shook the man’s shoulder lightly.  “I’ll go call a cab to bring you home,” he offered.

“No,” the man said as he gripped Jaejoong’s wrist.  “I want you to go home with me…”

“No, no, that would give yourself a bad image,” Jaejoong said as he tugged his hand, trying to free it from the other man’s grasp.  “I’ll help you get home.”

“But I want you…” he drawled as he grinned.  He got up from his seat, and draped himself over Jaejoong who nearly fell down at the sudden weight.

“Ouch,” Jaejoong yelped as he quickly steadied himself.  He sighed loudly, paid for the drinks, and helped the man walk out of the bar to haul a cab.

As he was walking towards the exit, a dancer walked up the stage, and everyone started screaming.  He turned to look back, and was nearly frozen at the spot.

“Hey~ are you going to take me home or not?” the man called, snapping him out of his daze.

“Huh?  Oh,” Jaejoong blinked, and they walked out of the bar.  He helped the man get into a cab, and gave the directions to the driver, before he waved goodbye at the man, and walked back into the bar.

I didn’t even know if you could tell

Jaejoong silently walked to the far end of the bar, sitting by himself at the corner, shoulders hunched as he rested his elbow on the countertop, and pretended to think.  He didn’t want to order anything, so he looked away every time the bartender looked at his direction.

All the time, his eyes were focused on the figure of the dancer who was still on the stage, dancing along to the music that was even louder than when he stepped into the place the first time.  Many people crowded the dance floor, screaming and waving at him, and some dancing along as well.

He smiled a little, and decided to just enjoy the free show while he was at it.  He knew he was openly staring, but in a crowded place like this where everyone else was also staring at him, he shouldn’t have to worry about being caught in the act.

What he didn’t know was the fact that the dancer was also looking at him.

You had me in a daze saying “What the hell, here’s my name, number, baby just hit my cell”

Once the song was over, the dancer walked down the stage and exited the building.  Others were calling for more, but they soon fell silent when another dancer went on stage.

Jaejoong looked around, and quietly made his way to the back door of the bar, exiting to the small, damp alley at the back of the bar.  He scrunched his nose up in distaste at the horrid smell of decaying organic trashes, but quickly averted his attention from it when he heard a voice.

“Looking for me?”

Jaejoong turned to see the person, and smiled a little when he saw the dancer from earlier.  “Waiting for me?” he asked back.

The dancer chuckled.  “Maybe I am, maybe I am not,” he said as he pushed himself away from the wall he was leaning on seconds before.  “You’ve got some guts coming here all alone.”

“You’re saying those trash cans can suddenly roar alive like Monster House?”

“Didn’t know you watch Monster House.”

“I didn’t know you do too.”

The dancer laughed again.  “We’re going off topic.”

“You started it.”

“So,” he started.  “What do you want?  My name?  My number?”

“Oh, confident, aren’t we?” Jaejoong grinned teasingly.  “What made you think I want something from you?”

“You were looking for me.”

“I never said I was.”

“Okay.  If you don’t have any business with me, then I’m off,” the dancer shrugged, and took his bag with him, preparing to walk out of the alley.

“But I never said it wasn’t true either,” Jaejoong added.

The dancer smirked, and turned to face him.  “Finally admitted it.”

“You’re offering your number to a stranger who didn’t ask,” Jaejoong pointed out.

“A lot of people have asked for my number,” the dancer shrugged.

“And you told them?”

“I lied.  I gave them my ex-teacher’s number.”

“So you were a good student back then?” Jaejoong commented.  “And how would I know you wouldn’t give me a wrong number?”

“Because,” he grinned.  “I like you.”

“Thank you, I’ve gotten that quite a lot of times,” Jaejoong smiled.  “So, name?”

“Yunho.”

“Okay,” Jaejoong nodded.  “You work here?”

“Casual.  I work when I’m feeling up to it,” Yunho shrugged as he walked over to Jaejoong.  “And what’s your name?”

“Jaejoong,” Jaejoong said simply.

“Give me your cell phone,” Yunho said flatly.

“Oh, going into robbing now, are we?  Or is this called forceful theft?” Jaejoong teased.

“Whatever you want to believe,” Yunho snatched it from Jaejoong’s hand, and pressed a few buttons.  “That’s my number.  Give me a call sometimes.”

“When should I?” Jaejoong lifted an eyebrow.  “I don’t do one-night stands, by the way.”

“Sure, you look like it,” Yunho replied easily.  “Are you also a firm believer that sex is for married couple only?”

“I’m not going to answer that,” Jaejoong grinned.  “Find out for yourself.”

Loving everything you do ‘cause you do it well

Jaejoong sat at the corner of the small, local bar, and sighed.  Why did he agree to this again?

“Stop being an old man,” Yunho said from beside him, passing him a glass of whisky.  “Drink up.  You might need it.  Or not.”

“Are you trying to do something funny?” Jaejoong looked at Yunho accusingly.

“Yah, can’t you trust your own boyfriend?” Yunho complained.

“Not when said boyfriend is named Jung Yunho, no,” Jaejoong replied as he accepted the glass, but didn’t drink it yet.

“I hate it when you’re being sarcastic,” Yunho stated.

“Whoever said I was?” Jaejoong blinked at him.

“I hate it more when you do that,” Yunho shook his head.  “Anyway, I’m up next.  Wait for me at the back after you finish your drink.”

“Why must I?”

“I paid for it already.”

“Fine, whatever,” Jaejoong sighed, and slowly drank the contents of the glass.  He didn’t want to drink it all in one go, because he already tried, and it wasn’t pretty.

As Yunho walked up stage and started entertaining the guests, he felt a small smile creeping up his face.  He always loved to see Yunho dance.  Because when he did, he did it so well.

Don’t know what you got me thinkin’

“Hey,” Yunho greeted as he waved at Jaejoong rather cheerfully, while the other man nearly dropped the folder he was holding in his hand.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Jaejoong glared at him as he pushed him into his office and locked it, making sure no one saw.  “Don’t you have somewhere to be at the moment?”

“Yah, that’s no way to talk to your future boyfriend,” Yunho protested.

“Whoever said that!?”

“Me.”

“Go out and don’t come back,” Jaejoong said as he now pushed Yunho out of his office, and was ready to slam it in his face.

“Fine, I’ll leave you for now.”

“Glad you finally take the hint,” Jaejoong rolled his eyes.

“But,” Yunho said as he turned back to look at Jaejoong.  “That was a confession.  Tell me your answer later.”

Later that night, Yunho only smirked to himself when he got a message from Jaejoong which said “Affirmative”.

I ain't ever met a man like that (No), I ain't ever fell so far, so fast (No)

Yunho walked out of the back door, and grinned.  “Thanks for waiting,” he said as he walked over to Jaejoong, and slung an arm over his shoulder.  “Let’s go back now.”

“Your place or mine?”

“Where did you learn that line?” Yunho looked at him strangely.

“Somewhere out there,” Jaejoong shrugged.  “So?”

“Mine, nearer,” Yunho replied.  “You know, you never cease to amuse me.”

“I’d rather you say amaze you, but whatever.”

“See?” Yunho laughed.  “You’re so cute.”

“Thank you.”

“I’ve never seen someone like you before,” Yunho admitted.  “Maybe that was why I was attracted to you.”

“You already told me,” Jaejoong huffed.

“But,” Yunho started again.  “I was attracted to you even before I talked to you.”

You can turn me on, throw me off track

“You know,” Jaejoong mused as he lay on bed beside Yunho.  “I was attracted to you too.”

“You were?” Yunho grinned as he placed an arm around Jaejoong’s waist.  “Could’ve fooled me.”

“I know,” Jaejoong mumbled, snuggling closer slightly.  “That was why I was thankful you didn’t give up on me.  I don’t want to do the chasing.”

“I know you don’t,” Yunho yawned a little.  “I’m too smart.”

“Can I take back what I said just now?”

“Nope,” Yunho grinned again. “Anyway, you never told me why.”

“You want to know?”

“Of course.”

“Because,” Jaejoong looked at him intently.  “You’re the only who can turn me on.”

In a split second, he was already pinned down onto the mattress, Yunho’s face mere centimeters away from his.

“Want me to now?”

“If you’re up to it.”

“With pleasure.”

Boy you do it, do it, you do it, do it, you're doin' it well

“How did I do?”

“So well.”
