A/N: there’s a lot of drama and explanation in this one, but that doesn’t mean there’s no fluff X3
Oh, and this series is coming to an end. Only one more chapter to go, and then the epilogue. The epilogue won’t be long like the chapters, but yeah… I’ll try to make it long enough :3

Chapter Five - Schemes
Sunlight shone through the opened blinds and directly onto Jaejoong’s face. He reflexively turned around and buried his face in his pillow, pulling his blanket tighter to his body, while idly wondering why his bed felt so soft, and his pillow so fluffy.
“Jae,” a voice called gently from his side as he felt his shoulder being prodded slowly. “Don’t you have a morning class today?”
Jaejoong mumbled incoherently and turned around, pulling his blanket over his head.
“Jae…” the voice called again. “You’re going to be late for your morning class.”
“To hell with my morning class,” Jaejoong thought to himself idly. “I’ve never slept this well since forever… oh well, so I have once that time in Yunho’s house…”
The finger kept prodding, but Jaejoong stopped stirring. His mind went to a halt.
“Yunho’s house?”
He blinked his eyes open, and turned to look at the owner of the prodding finger. “Why am I here?” he asked curiously, looking up at Yunho who looked at him in annoyance, and then remembered what happened yesterday.
“That’s not the way to thank someone who put you up,” Yunho huffed as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“What? What did I do?” Jaejoong asked, getting into a sitting position.
“First, you kicked me out of my own bed!” Yunho declared, showing his bruised arm and leg to Jaejoong who laughed uneasily at him, shooting him apologetic looks.
“Then you ignored me for a whole hour while I tried to kindly wake you up so you’re not late to your morning class,” Yunho said, pointing at the clock. “Now go get ready before I kick you out of my bed.”
Jaejoong stuck his tongue at Yunho, and quickly hopped off the bed before Yunho could move over to him. “Can I borrow your clothes again?” he asked before he walked into the bathroom.
“You don’t have to ask,” Yunho replied. “I’m going outside first. I’ll be in the dining room.”
“Okay!”
“Don’t take too long!”
“I know!”
“And don’t fall asleep in the tub!”
“Shut up!”

Yunho looked up from the newspaper he was reading, and stopped rubbing the stomach of his golden retriever with his foot. He watched as Jaejoong fought to keep his sling bag from falling off his shoulder.
“Good morning Gii,” Jaejoong greeted the terrier that quickly walked up to him as he entered. “No, don’t chew off the trousers, these aren’t mine,” he said as he shook the dog off.
“Sit down,” Yunho said, motioning at the seat across from him. “Donghae will drive you to school today,” he added.
“You don’t have morning classes?” Jaejoong asked in envy.
“No, unlike someone who’s unlucky, I got a pleasant schedule,” Yunho shrugged, and continued to play with his retriever with his feet.
Jaejoong glared at him, and sat down on the seat across from him. “Wah, American breakfast,” he commented as he looked at the plates of food in front of him.
“Eat as many as you want,” Yunho shrugged, folding the newspaper and lifting his cup of coffee. “You’re way too skinny.”
“Shut up,” Jaejoong huffed, and started eating, occasionally playing with the dogs with his feet as well. He placed his bag at the foot of the chair, and rolled up the lower hem of the brown cargo pants he borrowed from Yunho. He also borrowed a dark green and blue striped shirt.
Jaejoong quickly finished his breakfast, and got up, bending down to kiss Gii and Kai on the tip of their noses. “I’ll see you sometimes, Gii, Kai,” he greeted, and got up.
“Wait,” Yunho called as he got up as well.
“What, you want a goodbye kiss too?” he teased.
“Hm? No, I was going to give you your lunch money,” Yunho said as he took out a few bills. “Since you can’t prepare your own lunch, I figure I should give you lunch money so you don’t starve to death.”
Jaejoong slapped his arm. “What’s that supposed to mean!?”
“You’re going to be late.”
“Ah! I’m going to be late!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“Good morning, Jaejoong-shii,” Donghae greeted as he stood up straight and grinned at him. “Did you sleep well last night?”
“Oh… pretty well. Aw, I’m envious he has such nice and comfy bed,” Jaejoong sighed, leaning over the top of the car.
Donghae laughed. “But you should be thankful. The guest room’s bed isn’t as good as his. And he let you sleep in his.”
Jaejoong shrugged. “I guess,” he nodded slightly. They then engaged themselves in a staring contest.
“What is it?” Donghae asked.
“Oh, no, I was just thinking of something,” Jaejoong shook his head, and quickly reached for the door handle. Suddenly, Donghae burst out laughing. “Huh?”
“You must’ve been wondering why I didn’t open the door for you like I usually did, no, Jaejoong-shii?” Donghae asked with a grin, and Jaejoong hesitantly nodded. “Well, I deliberately did so to see which door you’ll open,” he explained, smirking slightly.
“So, passenger seat is only if he drives, hm?” Donghae teased, looking at Jaejoong’s hand which was holding onto the backseat door’s handle.
Jaejoong blushed. “Ah, don’t tease me!” he protested. Great, so now Donghae too. Who’s next?
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry,” Donghae snickered. “Get in, I’ll drive you to school,” he said as he got into the driver’s seat, and watched in amusement as Jaejoong got into the backseat.
“Really, really only for him, eh?” Donghae mumbled, grinning widely. “Fasten your seatbelt, we’re running late.”
Jaejoong quickly fastened his seatbelt, held onto his bag, and squeezed his eyes shut, preparing himself mentally for the roller-coaster ride.
“Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! Slow dooooooown~!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Jaejoong got out of the car dizzier than usual. “I’m surprised the police haven’t gone after you yet,” he mumbled as he leaned on the car, waiting for the world to stop spinning.
“They’re not fast enough to catch up,” Donghae grinned. “You’re going to the coffee shop right after class?” he asked.
“Yes, so you don’t have to pick me up,” Jaejoong smiled. “Thank you for driving me here,” he bowed and waved as Donghae got into the driver’s seat and waved back at him, before he zoomed off.
Jaejoong sighed. “Oh well, won’t want to be late,” he said as he walked off to his class.

“Hey Jae,” Yoochun greeted as he walked into the coffee shop. “Can you make me a cup of decaf coffee? I’ll need one,” he sighed, walking over to the counter.
“Had a bad day, Chunnie?” Jaejoong asked as he moved to work the coffee machine, and waited for the coffee to brew.
“Not really, but I’m darn sleepy,” Yoochun sighed. “The others haven’t come yet?” he asked, looking around the empty place.
“Oh, Yunho, Heechul-shii and Shiwon-shii are at the back,” Jaejoong pointed at the lounge. “They’re talking about something, but I’m not allowed to know,” he pouted.
Yoochun shrugged. “Maybe they’re talking about you,” he commented. “I’m amazed at you two, really.”
“Why?” Jaejoong asked, and greeted Changmin who had just come.
“Well… you’re only his fake girlfriend right? But he cares for you a lot,” Yoochun answered simply.
Changmin quickly whacked Yoochun on the head. “Don’t you think before you speak?” he snapped a little. “Forgive him, he never thinks before he speaks,” he said to Jaejoong as he bowed a little.
Jaejoong shook his head. “No, it’s okay. It’s true anyway,” he said, and gave the cup of coffee to Yoochun. “Do you want some, Changmin-shii?”
“No, thanks,” Changmin shook his head. “Have the others come?”
“Yes, they’re in the lounge right now,” Jaejoong pointed, and as he finished saying it, the three walked out of the lounge.
“Oh, you’re all here already,” Yunho commented idly. “Well, get to work then, the customers should come soon.”
“Yessir!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Stephanie walked into the coffee shop when it was a little empty because it was dinner time. She walked over to Yunho, and the others pretended to not see her there.
“Yunho-yah,” she called, taking hold of Yunho’s arm as he stopped cleaning the counter.
“What is it?” Yunho asked, rolling his eyes.
“You shouldn’t clean counters. It’s not for you,” Stephanie frowned. “It should’ve been that poor girl’s job!”
Yunho shook her off. “Whatever. If you don’t have anything to say, then leave.”
“Oi! That was no way to talk to me!” Stephanie growled. “I helped set you up with your girlfriend yesterday!”
“Oh, I forgot that,” Yunho said, looking thoughtful for a while. “Well, thank you then.”
“Wha- uh… you’re welcome,” Stephanie said hesitantly. “I… I’ll get going now,” she excused herself, and walked out of the shop.
Yunho looked at her disappearing figure, shrugged, and went back to cleaning the counter.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“Tada~ here’s my newest creation,” Jaejoong said triumphantly as he showed the boys a tray of bread. “They’re coffee breads, regular bread but the dough is added with coffee powder, cream, and sugar.”
“Someone’s already made it before, Joongie,” Heechul reminded as he walked out of the back kitchen carrying a tray of cups with coffee inside. “Though this is a new recipe we came up with earlier,” he added, showing the others the coffee.
“Whatever,” Jaejoong pouted. “It’s my first time baking it, so it’s my newest creation.”
Yoochun and Changmin laughed at his logic, but reached over for a piece and a cup.
“Where’s Yunho?” Jaejoong asked as he looked around, noticing the absence of one of the five boys.
“He’s outside,” Yoochun said nonchalantly as he munched on the bread. “Go after him if you want.”
“Okay,” Jaejoong agreed and took one piece of bread from the tray. He put it in a plastic wrap, and walked out of the coffee shop.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“I told you she doesn’t deserve you!” Stephanie grunted, glaring at Yunho. “When will you notice that!?”
“Tell me one reason to believe you,” Yunho glared back at her.
“Well, she’s not of your level! Do you want to bring shame to your family by having such a poor girlfriend!?” Stephanie argued.
“Oh? Then who do you suggest I choose? You!?” Yunho retorted just as harshly.
“Yes!” Stephanie screamed at the top of her lungs, and pulled Yunho down for a kiss.
“Hey Yun- ho…” a voice trailed off, followed by the sound of something falling.
Yunho quickly pushed Stephanie away, and turned around to see Jaejoong standing there, looking at him. He looked back at him.
Jaejoong bowed his head a little, and Yunho walked over to him.
“What are you doing here?” he asked softly as he raised his arm to touch Jaejoong’s shoulder, but Jaejoong quickly pushed him away.
“Don’t touch me,” Jaejoong gritted out as he looked up and glared at Yunho. “Don’t fucking touch me.”
“Jae, what’s wrong with you!?” Yunho exclaimed in frustration.
“What’s wrong with me!?” Jaejoong screamed. “You know I don’t like her! So you don’t want me here because you don’t want to get caught with her!?”
“No, Jae, you misunderstood-”
“The hell could I misunderstand that!” Jaejoong shouted at him again. “Don’t ever talk to me again, Jung.”
With that, he turned around and walked back to the coffee shop, leaving Yunho and Stephanie while the passers by looked over and wondered what happened.
“See? I told you she doesn’t deserve you!” Stephanie smirked. “Well, that saved me a lot of work,” she said mentally.
Yunho glared at the spot where Jaejoong had been a few seconds ago. He looked at the coffee bread lying on the ground, snorted, then turned around and walked away.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“So how did it go?”
“Oh, it went amazingly smoothly. You won’t believe me.”
“Tell me about it dear.”
“Well, Yunho got mad at his girlfriend! I think they won’t last long. if they last at all.”
“I see. That’s good news.”
“Yes, I know. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
