Title: Get Another Boyfriend

Author: Shin Seiryuu (Razra_Eizel)

Rating: PG-13

Genre: (songfic) romance, slight drama, and slight Se7en bashing

Disclaimer: I don’t own anything

For other stories or other chapters of this story, check out my journal.

A/N: idea for this fic came when I read the lyrics.  Very funny.  I watched a fanvid using this song and fell in love with the song afterwards.  The part I use for this fic will be the second verse to the second chorus.

Lyrics will be bolded, flashbacks will be italicized and the emphasis and thoughts will be the opposite of the scene.  If it’s a flashback, then they will be regular.  If it’s regular, then it’ll be italics.

Now This Must Come to an End

Let’s talk about what he’s done to become your number one

“Are you free tonight?” the voice from the other side of the line asked, blurred by the slight static heard from his own phone.

Jaejoong turned to look at the other four who shot him a glare and disapproving looks.

“Uh, yes,” Jaejoong quickly said to the receiver.

Changmin glared at him again unhappily, Yoochun and Junsu sighed in defeat while Yunho shook his head in disbelief.

“Good.  Get ready.  We’ll dine out,” the voice said again and the line was dead.

“I told you not to go with him!” Changmin protested as he nearly launched himself at his umma.  “How many times I’ve to tell you that he’s not the one for you?”

“Don’t talk like that, Minnie-ah,” Jaejoong shook his head.  “He treated me so well.”

“Yeah?  I bet that’s because he wants to get in your pants!” Yoochun snapped back irritably.

“Yoochun!”

“What!?  That’s true!  Have you never seen the way he looks at Jae!?” Yoochun protested, now getting into a heated staring contest with Junsu.

Yunho got up from his seat and patted Jaejoong’s shoulder.  “You should go get ready.  Won’t want him to wait.”

Jaejoong nodded and walked over to the door of his room, barely catching the phrase “Psh!  I bet you just don’t want him to step into our apartment!” spoken by Yoochun.

“But he treated me so well…”

Was it all the promises

“Have you ever thought of what you wanted?” Se7en asked as he stood on the beach quietly, watching as the waves crash, creating pleasant noises.

“Not really.  I’m happy with the way things are right now,” Jaejoong shook his head, standing beside Se7en and staring at the sun that was slowly setting despite the slight protest from his eyes.

“You seem to be the kind of person who only wants to be happy,” Se7en noted with a chuckle as he slung an arm across Jaejoong’s shoulder, pulling the shorter boy closer.

“Is that wrong?” Jaejoong asked, a slight pout starting to form.

“No,” Se7en quickly shook his head and kissed the top of Jaejoong’s head.  “Then I will promise you happiness if you stay with me.”

Of diamond pearls and party dresses that turned you on

“It’s so pretty!” Jaejoong exclaimed when he saw the pearl necklace presented to him in a small dark blue velvet box.

“Just like you,” Se7en whispered to his ears, slowly undoing the clasp of the necklace and putting it on around Jaejoong’s neck.

“Thank you,” Jaejoong mumbled.

“You’re always welcome,” Se7en grinned.  “There’s a party tonight.  Come with me?  I bought you a new set of clothes to wear,” he said, pointing at the plastic bag that was placed beside him.

“Okay,” Jaejoong nodded.

“So I’ll go now,” Se7en mumbled, finally sensing the other four boys’ glares at the back of his head.  “I’ll see you later tonight.”

“Yes, see you.”

I’ve seen it before

“Don’t you believe me!?  We’re supposed to be best friends!” Yunho nearly roared in anger as he clenched his fists tight to prevent himself from hitting anything near him.

“Don’t talk bad things about him!  I know he’s had bad relationships before!” Jaejoong retorted harshly to Yunho.

“I saw it myself!  I heard it!  What that woman said to him!” Yunho gritted his teeth.  Jaejoong had just announced that he was going out with Se7en and no one had taken the news well.

“Oppa!  Why did you leave me!?”

“I’m sorry.  Things are not going to work out for us.  You’ll find a better man one day.”

“But- but- we’ve just done it last night!  How could you leave me now!?”

“Enough!” Jaejoong screamed in frustration.  “Get out!” he shouted as he turned around so his back was facing Yunho and pointed at the door.

“Fine.  Have your way!” Yunho said harshly and stomped out of the room.

When Yunho was finally out of the room, Jaejoong started to cry.

“Stupid Yunho,” he cursed.  “He claimed to be my best friend yet he doesn’t have the slightest faith in me!  Does he think I’m that easy!?”

Don’t take it anymore, 3, 2, you’re through for sure

“Someone said he saw Se7en walking with a woman last night,” Yoochun shrugged lightly as he looked at the article that took the place in the front page of a magazine.  “So very not new.”

“Shut up,” Jaejoong muttered darkly.  “It was a decoy because someone was getting suspicious of our relationship,” he added, biting his lower lip.

“Tell yourself what you want to hear,” Yoochun remarked sarcastically.  “Doesn’t look like someone who goes out to distract the press,” he added when he looked at the picture that came with the article.

“Can’t you shut up for a minute!?” Jaejoong snapped, feeling irritation filling him from the inside.  “So what if he goes out with a woman!?  It’s none of your business!”

“It is!  Especially if it has something to do with you!” Yoochun snapped back, glaring heatedly at Jaejoong.  “Stop this Jae.  Don’t do this to yourself!”

“What am I doing to myself!?” Jaejoong shouted back, tears were threatening to spill from the corner of his eyes.

“Break up with him!  Don’t pretend you don’t know anything about this!” Yoochun stated firmly.  “Don’t try to take it anymore.  It’s not your fault!”

Just go get on with your life

“It’s not the end of the world.  Stop acting like it is,” Yoochun mumbled irritably while Changmin ate in silence beside him and Junsu stirred his coffee slowly, trying to make sure his metal spoon wouldn’t hit the cup and create noises.

“Must we talk about this all the time?” Jaejoong snapped, looking at Yoochun with a disapproving look.  “I’m trying, okay!?  What do you expect!?”

“Jae, your spoon’s gonna snap into two,” Yunho reprimanded as he took the small wooden spoon from Jaejoong’s death grip.

“I don’t know.  But Yoochun’s right,” Junsu agreed.  “You still have us.  Even before you two went out you had us.  What makes it different now?”

Jaejoong sighed and turned to hug Junsu.  “Thank you.”

Stop acting like you’ve given up

“I know you still hope he’ll come here,” Yunho mumbled suddenly and Jaejoong hid his cell phone under his pillow.  “We all know.  Stop acting like you’ve given up on him,” he said tiredly.

“I’m trying,” Jaejoong shook his head.  “I want to.”

Yunho walked over and sat beside him, ruffling Jaejoong’s hair lightly.  “It’s alright to hope.  Just don’t let it get at you too much,” he warned.

“I know,” Jaejoong nodded absently, burying his face in his pillow.  “But can I?”

Yunho smiled softly.  “I’m sure you can if you really want to.”

Listen, I mean it, there’s nothing that he’s worthy of

“Why did you agree!?” Yunho demanded.  He returned to the dressing room right after Se7en had asked Jaejoong out and Jaejoong agreed.

“Why shouldn’t I?” Jaejoong asked, lifting an eyebrow at Yunho in a questioning manner.

“You know he’s not worthy of you,” Yunho frowned slightly.

“Don’t judge people, Yunho-ah,” Jaejoong shook his head.  “I merely gave him a chance to prove himself.  If he failed, then I don’t feel obliged to stay with him.”

Yunho shook his head in reply.  “It’s not that simple, Boo.  You’ll grow attached to him and you’ll be the one who has your heart broken.”

“Why are you so sure?  Are you saying I’m the type of person who easily falls for others just like that!?” Jaejoong snapped.

“Say what you want to believe,” Yunho muttered under his breath.  “When one day you get your heart broken, don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.”

He’s just another player, playing in the name of love

“Are you still moping?” Junsu asked when he knocked on the door and he heard a soft thump that he suspected came from the impact of a pillow against the door.

Taking that as his cue to step in, he walked into the room and saw Jaejoong lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

“I don’t mope,” Jaejoong retorted defensively.

“Yeah right.  And you didn’t cry your eyes out and soak three of Yunho’s shirts,” Junsu mumbled as he took a seat beside Jaejoong.  “You do know that Yunho-hyung had warned you about this right?”

“Please don’t remind me of Yunho and his all-knowing self,” Jaejoong glared at him and turned so he was lying on his side.

“He was nicknamed U-Know for a reason,” Junsu grinned at him.

He was replied by an incoherent mumble so he decided to continue since he knew Jaejoong wasn’t going to speak properly anytime soon.  “Then again, I’m quite amazed that you two lasted for nearly half a year.  Usually he’d break up with his girlfriends or boyfriends in two months top.”

“Are you saying I’m that easy!?” Jaejoong snapped again.  First Yunho and now Junsu.  Would Changmin start questioning it as well?

“No of course not,” Junsu shook his head frantically.  “I thought it’s better to act hard-to-get.  But above all, I’m glad you remained untouched.”

Jaejoong snorted and sat up on his bed.  “That was reserved for someone special.”

“Oh?  Like, someone whose name starts with Y and ends with O?”

Junsu giggled madly as he ran away from a pillow-wielding Jaejoong.

I’ve seen enough now this must come to an end

“Dongwook,” Jaejoong said calmly to the receiver when he heard the other greeting from the other side of the line.  “Let’s break up.”

“What?  Why?”

“I’m sorry.  But things aren’t going to work out for us.  I’m sure you’ll find a better man one day,” Jaejoong said slowly, making sure each syllable was clearly heard by the other.

The other fell silent at that.

“Who told you?”

“Guess,” Jaejoong shook his head.  It was the same line he’d say to everyone he broke up with, and he had deliberately used it against him this time.  “I’ve seen too much.  You’re not the subtlest person, you know.”

And the dial tone was heard.

Get…

“Jae?” Yunho asked in bewilderment when he was Jaejoong sitting atop Junsu, readying his pillow to start attacking Junsu.

“Ah!  Yunho-hyung!  Jaejoong is going to kill me with his pillow!” Junsu shouted out quickly.

“You can’t die being hit by a pillow,” Yunho shrugged a little.  “But it’s an entirely different story if you die of suffocation.”

“Don’t give him ideas!” Junsu shouted in panic when he saw the maniacal glint in Jaejoong’s eyes as he held onto the pillow with both hands now.

“Let him go, Jae,” Yunho tapped Jaejoong’s shoulder.  “I need to talk to you,” he added and Junsu giggled again before he madly dashed out of the room, leaving the two alone, shouting something that went along the lines of “The time has come!”.

“What is it?” Jaejoong asked as he sat in the armchair, hugging his pillow close to his chest.

“Have you gotten over him yet?” Yunho asked slowly, offering a box of cakes he had just bought to him.  “All your favorites.  Just don’t let Minnie see it.”

Jaejoong nodded in gratitude before he sighed, his mind back to the topic.  “I guess.  It’s really not that hard to get over him.”

Yunho smiled slightly.  “That’s good to know.”

“What else do you want to say?” Jaejoong asked.  He knew that wasn’t all that Yunho wanted to say.

“Ah, you knew me all too well,” Yunho said with an amused smile.

Another boyfriend

“Please be my man.”

Get Another Boyfriend

Longest fic ever.  Since there are two votes for this song, and only one for Umbrella, Girlfriend and When You’re Gone, I’m posting this up first.

Hope you enjoy.  I originally intended this to be a humorous one-shot, but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to.
