Chapter Twelve - Planning
Jaejoong sighed as he shook his head. “You guys…” he mumbled as he took the tube of ointment, and started applying it to his hands, before he massaged Yoochun’s back.
“Ow, ow! It hurts!” Yoochun protested as he flinched and was about to pull away, but Jaejoong gripped tighter so he stayed put. “Can’t you be gentler?” he whined.
“Shut it,” Junsu sniffed. “I went through the pain and you should too!”
“Aish you two,” Yunho huffed. “My ankles were twisted twice! And he was the one who massaged it!”
“If you don’t shut up, I’m not going to continue,” Jaejoong threatened as he pouted.
“No fair! My turn hasn’t arrived yet, and I didn’t say anything!” Changmin complained.
“Oh, trust me, you don’t want to,” Yunho shook his head, and ‘eep’ed when Jaejoong shot a glare at him (although it wasn’t what made him squeak, rather the almighty cute pout that made him feel guilty beyond anything).
“Stop complaining,” Jaejoong huffed as he pressed down on Yoochun’s shoulder blade, making him yelp in pain. “Whose idea was it to have a pillow fight anyway!?”
Everyone pointed to Yoochun.
“Hey!” Yoochun protested. “Give me some sympathy, will you!? I’m still in pain here!”
“So am I!” Changmin shouted from behind.
“Okay, okay,” Jaejoong sighed. “If any of you speak one more word, I’m leaving.”
The four pouted.
“Better,” Jaejoong said to himself, smiling a little. “Seriously, if you knew you’d get back pains, you shouldn’t have had that pillow fight in the first place!”
“That wasn’t my idea!” Yunho protested.
“That’s it! I’m leaving!”
“Yunho-hyung!”
“Wah, sorry!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Yunho groaned as he lay on bed, burying his face in his pillow, and mourning over his back. Because they had gone too violent during the pillow fight yesterday (of course no one dared to hurt Jaejoong for fear no one could cook for them the next day), they had backaches the following day.
And although Jaejoong had massaged them and told them that they’d be fine in no time, they were still in pain.
“Stop being pitiful,” Jaejoong said as he walked into the room carrying a small bag. “Here, it’s the airbed you got that time. I think it’s supposed to help.”
“Thank you,” Yunho said as he stood up, and took the bag from Jaejoong. “I’ll pump it. Can you make me something to eat?”
“Okay,” Jaejoong agreed and walked out of the room.
Yunho put the bed down on the floor, and took the small pump he put inside the closet. He was about to pump it up when suddenly his cell phone rang.
“Yeoboseyo?”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“Hey Jae,” Seven called as he came into their apartment.
“Hey,” Jaejoong greeted back. The other three were also in their rooms, groaning about their hurting backs while trying to get some sleep.
For once, they were thankful that Yoosu couldn’t be violent, even if only for a few hours.
“You’re cooking?” Seven asked. “I came to ask you if you’d like to go out with me today,” he said. “We didn’t get to last time. My treat.”
“I-“
“Jae, get ready,” Yunho said as he suddenly walked out of their room. “We’re going to-what are you doing here?” he asked as he eyed Seven strangely.
“I’m here to ask Jae out,” Seven said simply.
“Too bad, you’re out of luck,” Yunho deadpanned. “He’s not going anywhere with you.”
“What is it? Where are we going?” Jaejoong asked.
“Now, if you don’t have anything else to do, please leave,” Yunho looked at Seven pointedly. “I don’t wish to discuss this matter with anyone who isn’t involved.”
“Yunho-yah, don’t be mean,” Jaejoong reprimanded.
“That’s alright, Jae,” Seven shook his head. “I am an outsider in this matter, so I should be going.”
“Glad you noticed,” Yunho muttered under his breath, and glared at Seven, but quickly smiled widely when Jaejoong looked up at him questioningly.
Seven excused himself, and walked out of their apartment.
“So, where are we going?” Jaejoong asked again.
“To my house,” Yunho said. “My mother had just called. She asked us to come right away. She also said there’s something she wished to talk to us about.”
“Oh,” Jaejoong mumbled. “Is it okay to leave the boys alone?”
“Oh, I’m sure they won’t be able to destroy this apartment,” Yunho said quickly. “Not while they’re still groaning and lazing around on their beds.”
“I forgot that,” Jaejoong commented. “I’ll just finish up the lunch then, and we can go.”
“Okay,” Yunho agreed. “Meanwhile, I’ll try to pump up the airbed. We’re sleeping there tonight.”
“Then make it as comfortable as possible!” Jaejoong called from the kitchen. “I don’t want to wake up to back pains!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“It’s been how many weeks since we last come here?” Jaejoong asked, looking around the house. He was still awed at the size and the furniture.
“Not long Boo,” Yunho shook his head, and a butler immediately walked up to them, bowing at them in greeting, and leading them to the study where Yunho’s parents were.
“Ah, hello there, Yunho, Jae,” Yunho’s mother greeted cheerfully as she waved at them, and motioned at the empty couch across her arm chair.
The two quickly sat down, and eyed her.
“Now, I’m sure this is quite a surprise since I didn’t notify you beforehand,” Yunho’s mother started.
“I was thankful for the distraction though,” Yunho commented.
“Huh?”
“Nothing.”
“Okay, so, anyway,” Yunho’s mother started, and looked at his father who was face-palming in his armchair, pretending he couldn’t hear anything.
“We’re planning on preparing your wedding,” she said with a wide smile.
Yunho choked on his own spit.
“Isn’t that lovely, Yunnie-ah? You get to be married to Jaejoong so soon!” she cheered.
“But mom!” Yunho protested. “We’ve just gotten into college!”
“And?” his mother asked.
“I-I don’t want to marry Jae until I graduate,” Yunho frowned, and held Jaejoong’s hand in his.
“Eh!? Why not!?” she whined.
Jaejoong looked up at him in question.
“Because,” Yunho sighed. “I want to be able to earn my own income first. I want to be able to support him, whatever happens. That’s why.”
“Aw…” his mother gushed happily. “That’s so sweet!”
“Aish, shut it, it’s embarrassing!” Yunho protested as he tried to hide his blushing face.
Jaejoong smiled at him, and hugged him. “Thank you.”
“Okay,” his mother said. “So, we’ll be planning for a wedding ceremony four years from now.”
“Then why are you planning it now!?”
“Because this is my first time as a wedding planner! Are you that cruel to deny your own mother her one wish!?”
“…”
“Oh… we’ll go see the dress, cake, and the reception place tomorrow!”
“I’ll just skip…”
