It’s Either You or I

“Jae?” Yunho called softly, running his hand through Jaejoong’s hair softly as he watched the other man stared at a picture of a diamond necklace on a magazine idly.

“Yes?” Jaejoong asked, not looking up from the magazine as he flipped to another page.

“I want a child,” Yunho stated calmly as he continued playing with Jaejoong’s hair, as if he had just said that the sky was clear that day.

Jaejoong paused mid-flip.  “And?”

“I want you to bear my child, of course,” Yunho shot him a ‘duh’ look.

“What.  The.  Heck,” Jaejoong grunted.  “Why must I?  You can adopt a child or something!”

“No, I don’t want to,” Yunho shook his head firmly.  “I want him or her to be our child.”

“Well, you’re obviously having no luck then,” Jaejoong shrugged and went back to his magazine.  “Men can’t get pregnant.”

“But Jae~” Yunho whined.  “There’s this operation that enables you to be!”

“And!?” Jaejoong asked again, clearly annoyed by now.

“Well… you can undergo that operation,” Yunho shrugged nonchalantly.

“No way,” Jaejoong shook his head.  “No way in the seven hells am I doing that.”

“Aw~” Yunho whined again, now poking Jaejoong’s side, but Jaejoong remained stern as he ignored Yunho completely and immersed himself in the magazine.  “Fine!” Yunho threw his hands up in defeat.  “If you’re not going to do it, then I will, and you will get me pregnant.”

Jaejoong paused mid-flip again.  “Come again?” he asked, not really sure he had heard right.

“If you don’t want to get pregnant that badly, then I will,” Yunho huffed.

Jaejoong looked at him strangely.  “Ew.”

“Hey!  What’s that supposed to mean!?” Yunho cried out indignantly.

“Well… ew… it’s just that… you’re taller than me… and you look more muscled than me although we all know it’s the opposite…” Jaejoong trailed off.  “In short, no, Yunho, no.”

“Well, you don’t want to, so I have to!” Yunho argued.  “One of us has to do it, right?”

Jaejoong looked at him again, and sighed heavily.  “Fine… I will do it… just don’t ever think of getting pregnant again… I’ll keep having a disturbing mental image then.”

Yunho pouted at the remark, but was cheering loudly mentally.

And the next day, the two of them went to a hospital to get the procedures done.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

Three years later…

Jaejoong poked his bulging stomach gingerly as he watched Yunho and their two-year-old daughter play together.

“Why the hell did I agree to this anyway?” he grumbled to himself, remembering how he had come to agree on getting pregnant again.

-.-.-.-.-. flashback -.-.-.-.-.

“Boo,” Yunho cooed as he got into their bed, cradling their daughter in his arms.

“No,” Jaejoong replied, turning to glare at Yunho.

“I haven’t said anything!” Yunho protested.

“No, Yunho, we’re not going to try until we get a boy,” Jaejoong kept glaring at him.

“Well, your parents did…” Yunho trailed off, and for that he was rewarded with a kick on the shin.

“I’m not them,” Jaejoong huffed and turned around.

“Aw… oh well… I guess I can’t force you into it then,” Yunho sighed sadly as he placed the baby between them carefully.  “I’m sorry Jae Hyun, but your umma doesn’t want another child, so you’ll have to be an only child,” he cooed, kissing the baby’s forehead and tickling it slightly with his index finger.

“I know you’ll be alone when we’re not home and you don’t have any siblings to play with,” Yunho added, looking at the baby girl almost in sympathy.  “And I’m sorry you can’t have a cute little brother or sister you can play with.”

Jaejoong kicked Yunho on the shin again, hard.  “Fine, we’ll have another child,” he pouted.

“Oh, no, you don’t have to, Boo,” Yunho shook his head.  “It wasn’t easy being pregnant, I know that.  I understand if you don’t want to go through it all over again.”

Jaejoong frowned.  “But you really wanted another child, don’t you?”

“I do, but not that badly that I’m going to force you into doing what you don’t want to,” Yunho said, kissing Jaejoong softly.  “Don’t worry about me, Boo.”

Jaejoong sulked.  “We’re going to have another child, and that’s final.”

“Aw, Boo,” Yunho grinned.  “I’m glad you finally see it my way.”

-.-.-.-.-. end of flashback -.-.-.-.-.

“Damn whoever came up with guilt trips and reverse psychology,” Jaejoong muttered under his breath as he stretched and lied on the couch, trying to get comfortable.

“Hey Boo,” Yunho greeted as he walked over to the couch and sat down, letting Jaejoong rest his head on his lap.  “How’s the baby?”

“He’s doing fine,” Jaejoong answered, smiling a little.  “Where’s Jae Hyun?” he asked, looking around.

“She’s playing with her teddy bear,” Yunho said, pointing at the big blue teddy bear with the little girl atop it.  “She’s on the carpet, so she won’t get hurt even if she falls.”

Jaejoong nodded in satisfaction and closed his eyes, relaxing as he rubbed his stomach in circular motion.

“Does it hurt?” Yunho asked, placing his hand on top of Jaejoong’s hand and joined it in rubbing his stomach.

“Not really,” Jaejoong sighed.  “Thank you for your help yesterday,” he added, smiling softly at Yunho.

“Anytime, Boo,” Yunho laughed, and kissed Jaejoong softly on his lips.  “You know I’ll do anything for you.”

-.-.-.-.-. flashback -.-.-.-.-.

Yunho kneeled down beside Jaejoong, holding him upright as he threw up into the toilet bowl.  Patting his back slowly, he helped Jaejoong hold back his hair so it wasn’t dirtied with his vomit.

“Do you feel better now?” Yunho asked after Jaejoong finished emptying the contents of his stomach into the bowl.

“A little,” Jaejoong sighed, and flushed the toilet.

“Wait here,” Yunho said as he got up, and went out of the bathroom.  He came back a while later with a glass of warm water, and handed it to Jaejoong.  “Swirl, it’ll help clean your mouth,” he directed.

Jaejoong swirled the water in his mouth and spitted it out into the toilet bowl, repeating the routine for about five times, before he drank the remaining water.

“Thank you,” he mumbled as he returned the glass to Yunho.

“You’re welcome,” Yunho replied as he helped Jaejoong get up, and back to his bed.  “Go back to sleep.  You’ll need as much rest as you can get.”

“What about yourself?” Jaejoong asked, looking at Yunho who was still standing beside him.

“I’ll just take the glass to the kitchen, and clean the bathroom,” Yunho answered, “and I’ll join you afterwards.”

“Okay,” Jaejoong agreed.  “But don’t take too long.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

“Yunho-yah… I want durians,” Jaejoong said suddenly, and everyone looked at him strangely.

“Durians?” Junsu asked, unsure of what he heard.

“Yes, durians,” Jaejoong frowned.  “I want to eat durians,” he repeated.

Junsu was about to say how ridiculous the request was because durians only grew on the southeastern part of Asia, but Yunho stood up before he could say anything.

“Wait here,” Yunho said as he kissed Jaejoong’s forehead.  “I’ll try not to take longer than an hour.”

“Wha-?  Yunho-hyung, where are you going?” Junsu asked, confused.

“There’s a store that sells imported fruits nearby,” Yunho shrugged.  “I’ll go buy the durians.”

“Thank you Yunho-yah,” Jaejoong smiled at him.

“I’ll be going then.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

“Where were you!?” Jaejoong snapped as he glared at Yunho who had just returned to their shared apartment.  “I was waiting for a freaking hour for you to get here!”

“I’m sorry Boo,” Yunho apologized softly.  “The traffic outside was jammed, so I couldn’t get here faster.”

“Whatever!  I don’t want to talk to you right now!” Jaejoong huffed and walked away.

Yunho followed him to their bedroom and sat down beside him.

“What are you doing here!?  I told you I don’t want to talk to you!” Jaejoong shouted angrily.

“I’m not asking you to talk to me now,” Yunho shook his head.  “But I’ll be here if you want to.”

Jaejoong looked at him, and suddenly broke down crying, wailing loudly.

“Boo, what’s wrong?” Yunho asked, walking over to cradle him in his lap.  “Tell me what’s wrong.”

Yoochun looked at them from their door, and shook his head.

“Freaking mood swings.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

Jaejoong lied on the bed in a ward, holding his baby close to him as he looked at her face lovingly.  “She’s beautiful,” he commented, fighting the urge to cry.

“Just like you, Boo,” Yunho kissed the top of his head and stood beside him, looking at the baby’s face.  “Thank you.  For being with me.  For bearing our child.”

Jaejoong shook his head.  “I should’ve thanked you instead.  You were always there whenever I need you, and you somehow are always calm whatever happens, even when I get all moody at you.”

Yunho laughed.  “That’s because I have to do my part,” he grinned.  “You’ve done your part wonderfully, Jae.  If I didn’t do my part, then it would be very unfair for you.”

“My part?” Jaejoong asked in confusion.

“Being a great mother,” Yunho answered with a small smile.  “Being a great mother for our child.  Enduring the nine months of pregnancy so well.”

“But that’s only because you’re there,” Jaejoong protested.

“And that is my part,” Yunho cut in.  “Making sure those nine months are bearable for you.”

-.-.-.-.-. end of flashback -.-.-.-.-.

Jaejoong smiled at the memory.  “I know,” he said as he closed his eyes and sighed happily.  “And you’ll always be there for me.”

“That goes without saying,” Yunho grinned widely.  He leaned down and kissed Jaejoong softly.

Suddenly, they heard a giggle, and when they turned around, they saw Jae Hyun giggling at them.

“Aw~ appa wuv umma!” she exclaimed as she pointed a small chubby finger at Yunho and giggled again.

Yunho laughed with her.  “Yes, appa loves your umma very much,” he said.  “Do you love your umma too?”

“Yes~!” Jae Hyun answered, and giggled again, rolling around on the carpet with the teddy bear, while Yunho laughed at the sight.

Jaejoong smiled at the exchange between the father and daughter.  “You know,” he started, “I love you and all,” he mumbled.

“But?” Yunho asked, lifting an eyebrow at him.

“But don’t you dare guilt-tripping me into a third child or I’m making an appointment for your vasectomy!”

Damn Guilt Trips

My first Mpreg fic… hope it doesn’t turn out bad -_-;;;

Anyway, the first half of this story is a little on the humorous side, while the second half focuses on fluff, sap, and romance :3 although, I’m really sorry for the crappy ending~

The flashback part was actually inspired by what my sister’s friend told her about the nine months of pregnancy.  She said it was like hell, what with the morning sicknesses, cravings, and mood swings, and other things, so it’s better if your husband is a caring and understanding person… at least I think that’s what she said…

Hope you enjoyed anyway~!
