Chapter Two - Welcome to St. Andrews
Four boys sat down in a huge living room, three staring at one while the one stared at the fireplace, wondering if it would suddenly light up if he stared at it too long.
Or maybe if he would suddenly experience SHC from being stared at for too long.
“So, let me make this clear,” Yoochun lazily drawled as he placed an arm across Junsu’s shoulder while Changmin scooted away from the lovebirds and Yunho raised an eyebrow at them. “You want us to accompany you to St. Andrews?”
“Actually, I was going to order you guys to, but being the nice, kind, sensible-”
“And don’t forget thoughtful,” Yoochun remarked idly, reaching over to grab a cookie from the plate on the coffee table, munching on it idly while offering one to Junsu.
“Yes, you get the point,” Yunho nodded, not bothering to acknowledge that his friend was being sarcastic. “I asked you all here instead and told you all directly!” he finished with a triumphant grin, as if he had just saved a whole city from doom.
And maybe that was what he had done if his mother barreling through houses in an attempt to find eligible candidates for him considered a doom.
“And that’s not different from messaging us ad tell us so!” Yoochun protested. Junsu kept silent as he looked over at Changmin who was busy eating the cookies once he noticed it was there, thanks to Yoochun.
“Be grateful I didn’t tell the guys to get you all and kick your asses into that school,” Yunho huffed and glared defiantly at Yoochun. He was going there, the seer told him to-actually no, she didn’t-and he wanted them to go there with him. That’s final.
“I’d like to see you try,” Yoochun, again, being the smooth talker he was, replied with disinterest. “I’ll reconsider it if there’s something in for me, though,” he added, grinning at the thought of finally having a sports car of his own.
“Yoochun, you’re underage,” Yunho pointed out.
Changmin and Junsu looked at Yunho funny, then at Yoochun, back at Yunho and finally at Yoochun again.
Yoochun nearly sputtered at the accusation but managed to glare at him. “And what did you think I was asking for, Mr. Smart Head?” he asked.
“I thought that nickname was reserved for Changmin?” Yunho asked, raising an eyebrow at Yoochun who blinked, looked mortified, and sighed heavily.
“Why don’t you just tell him what you want, Chunnie?” Junsu asked, patting Yoochun’s back as if he was choking on his own spit. “That way our slow friend will understand better.”
“I’m not slow! I was on the track team!” Yunho protested.
The three looked at him, coughed, and decided to ignore what he had just said.
“So, I was thinking along the lines of… how about you give me the sports car you promised for my birthday earlier, and think of something else for my birthday?” he asked, the mad glint in his eyes disappearing as he thought it was better to be blunt towards Yunho.
“Oh, that was what you meant,” Yunho nodded in understanding as Junsu threw Yoochun a what-did-I-tell-you look. “It can be arranged. Any of you have a request or something?” he asked, turning to the other two.
“No, I’ll go if Chunnie goes,” Junsu shook his head and Yoochun cooed, hugging him close to him.
“Next time I’ll put a ban on PDA in my house and sue you for it,” Yunho muttered under his breath as he turned to look at Changmin. “Housing fee and your lunch will be paid by my family. Deal?”
“Deal~!”
Yunho smirked at that, and turned to a more pressing matter. Tell the others about the school.
“Now, I suppose you three know that the school is an all-girl school,” he started.
This time, Yoochun did choke on his own spit, Junsu nearly fell of the couch, and Changmin nearly spat out the cookie he was chewing-thankfully, he didn’t.
“What!?” Yoochun demanded, his eyes widened considerably.
“Oh, I thought you knew that already,” Yunho shrugged nonchalantly. “Then why did you ask for a compensation? Sheesh, you guys are just beyond me,” he complained.
“We should be the one complaining here!” Yoochun stated heatedly, turning towards Junsu and Changmin. “You two, say something!”
“Mm… I’ve always wanted to know how it feels to wear a skirt for uniform,” Junsu mumbled softly to himself.
“I don’t mind as long as my beloved foods stay with me,” Changmin added with a shrug.
“Forget it, don’t say anything,” Yoochun shook his head. “Please, do ignore them,” he said as he coughed and turned his attention back to Yunho.
“What?” Yunho asked.
“Continue what you were going to say, dolt,” Yoochun tried his hardest to suppress the urge to pull his hair out of sheer frustration. Staying in the same room with Yunho for more than an hour could tempt you to do so. Especially if the said man was being very slow at the time.
“Oh, right,” Yunho snapped his fingers, as if he had just gotten a divination. “We don’t have to dress up as a female student-I know it’s quite unfortunate, Junsu-so don’t worry about shaving your legs.”
Junsu sighed in disappointment, Changmin asked the maid standing nearby if she could fetch him more cookies, and Yoochun stared at Yunho as if he had just grown a third head.
“What now?” Yunho asked again, slightly irritated.
“No, I thought… you were going to say something more important than that,” Yoochun admitted.
“Well, do you want to shave your legs? Or did you already shave your legs?” Yunho asked, shrugging a little.
“I’m not even going to think about the answer,” Yoochun shook his head.
“Hah! I so know that you want to dress up as girls! I told you to go with it when we went to the party last week! Then, we could pretend that I’m a king and you guys are part of my harem!”
The next second found Yunho running away from the living room, ducking from the attacks of various projectiles such as: plates, forks, spoons, mugs, and ashtrays; all which were thankfully plastic.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Two days after the incident in which KFOs (Known Flying Objects) were thrown across the rooms, when the two had made a truce, they were standing in front of a huge building, with cottages scattered in the wide open space all around it.
“So this is St. Andrews? Doesn’t look so bad,” Junsu commented as he looked at the exterior of the main building. It looked like an old building, but it was artistic.
“Hm, and it’s filled with girls,” Changmin commented idly, a peppermint candy stick hanging from his mouth as he hummed to a tune he knew so well.
“Eh, what do you expect from an all-girl school?” Yoochun remarked, shaking his head slightly. For someone with a brain capacity like that, he sure didn’t think before he spoke.
“A place with girls screaming at the sight of boys passing in front of their school gates, or entering their school area,” Changmin replied, and as if it was their cue, the girls started screaming their heads off when they saw the four good-looking boys standing in front of the main building.
“Now, where’s the administration office, again?” Yunho asked himself as he took out a school map from his pocket and began studying it.
“Hyung, we know you can’t read maps, give it up,” Changmin commented as he saw Yunho frowning over the diagram. “The office is right there,” he pointed at a building with the words “Administration Office” written on a brown plank over the doorsill.
Yunho looked at the plank bitterly and glared at the map before shoving it into Junsu’s pocket and made his way to the door that led to the office, the three trailing behind them.
“Come in,” a voice called out, and Yunho immediately looked around, fully prepared if the incident with the seer happened again. He saw no one except the three and eyed them.
“Hm? Oh, there’s a bell over there. I pressed it,” Changmin answered simply as he pointed at a small doorbell beside the door. “The door looks thick,” he added, as if it could explain why the hell there was a doorbell there in the first place.
Or maybe it did explain why.
Yunho opened the door and stepped inside, followed closely by the three and Junsu closed the door behind him.
A stern-looking elderly woman looked up and stared at them from behind her rimless glasses. Her hair was tied up in a bun, and Yunho had to wonder if it had become a trend to highlight one’s hair silver, or her hair was graying.
“You must be the four boys who enrolled in this school yesterday,” she said as she took a look at the folder beside her and nodded at them, motioning for them to take a seat, which they gladly did without much shame.
“I am fully aware that this is an all-girl school,” the woman started, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. “However, due to your excellence in performance… and another unmentionable reason,” she said, coughing slightly as she looked over at the four, “We have decided to accept you four here as an exception.”
“We are grateful for that,” Junsu replied quickly, not letting Yunho or Yoochun do the talking. They were smooth talkers, yes, but sometimes they were annoying as hell.
“And because this isn’t a common time to be enrolling in a school,” she started and raised her eyebrow when she heard something like “And it sure isn’t the common time to tell someone to get married either” from the four, but decided to ignore it when the four kept silent, “There is only one cottage left empty. It used to be a storehouse, but we’ve made it livable for you guys.”
“Thank you,” Yunho said, beating Junsu and Yoochun and shot them a victorious smirk while Yoochun grumbled and Junsu sighed.
“The cottage can hold five people at most. The other person staying with you will come tomorrow, so you have more time to acquaint yourself with the surrounding,” she said with a sigh. “We don’t normally let girls stay with boys, but there’s no room left.”
“We understand,” Junsu answered, nudging both Yunho’s and Yoochun’s sides with his elbows to keep them from talking. “We’ll do nothing to make her uncomfortable.”
“Very well. Here are you schedules and the key to the cottage,” she said as she handed them four sheets of paper and a key linked to a soccer ball keychain.
“Hey, it’s so cute!” Junsu exclaimed at the sight of the keychain and the woman looked at him as if he was a crazed monkey who had just escaped from a mental asylum for animals.
“Whatever, let’s go now,” Yoochun asked and the woman mentally heaved a sigh of relief, hoping that she wouldn’t have to deal with them again in the near future.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
A group of girls were chattering near the office when the four walked out. Their chatting immediately turned into screaming and they ran for their lives.
Seulgi was one of the girls who saw them walk out. She was the queen of the school, and also star of the high jump team, the one who made the school won countless awards in the branch since she enrolled in the school three years back. She was still a single because she thought she deserved a perfect guy, and when she heard of the news of the transferring boys, she was highly elated.
“This is my chance to find the perfect guy,” Seulgi thought to herself. “There must be a reason why they are accepted here, and I’m sure it’s not just because they’re gay or something.”
And how right she was. It wasn’t only because they were gay.
She saw the four walking out and nearly swooned. But no, she had an image to keep up. She mustn’t swoon like ordinary girls. She was far beyond them.
“Hm, the tall one who leads the way looks cute,” she thought to herself, looking at Yunho. “I’m sure he’ll be down on his knees begging me to be his girlfriend in a few days.”
And with the thought, she turned and walked back to her class as the bell had just rang.
As she tried to make a big exit, she slipped on a puddle of water and started screaming profanities while the girl who was going to wipe the mess she made retreated back to the restroom.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“What!? You came here to find someone who has the same ring with yours!?” Yoochun asked, not believing that they were going through this problem because of that stupid reason.
“What!? I didn’t tell you that!?” Yunho asked back, sounding surprised himself. “I mean, hey, why would I even bother? My mother told me to go find someone to marry and I told her I’ll find my fiancé. Only thing was, I don’t know anything about that girl.”
“Mm, your mother said you don’t remember the gender of your own fiancé,” Changmin commented as he looked into the fridge of their cottage and was satisfied to find a lot of food inside.
“Yeah? You’re expecting it to be a boy in this all-girl school?” Yunho asked back. “If it’s one of you guys, I won’t even bother.”
“That hurts,” Junsu commented, faking a moaning sound while he clutched onto his chest, successfully looking like he was an old man dying from a heart attack.
“Whatever you say,” Yunho shrugged.
“But won’t they think you have a hand fetish or something?” Changmin asked, plopping down on the couch with a bag of walnuts in his hand.
“No! I don’t drool over hands!” Yunho shouted, defending himself.
The doorbell rang at the same time as the phone, and Yoochun went to pick up the phone while Yunho went to answer the door. Changmin was snacking on the walnut and Junsu decided to make some popcorn, although what it had to do with the phone or the bell ringing, no one knew.
“Hello?” Yoochun asked as soon as he picked up the phone.
“Change of plans. Your other housemate arrives today,” the woman from the administration office said and she quickly hung up, leaving Yoochun to grumble at her impoliteness and late notice.
Why did she even bother to tell them if the girl was already at their front door?
He went over to the door and saw the other three already there, chatting with the girl they were supposed to live with.
She had short black hair, pale skin, full pink lips, wide black eyes, and an all in all nice body. What surprised him was the length of her skirt. It wasn’t as short as he had expected, since high school girls nowadays liked to show off their legs. This girl looked like she was ashamed of her legs, which were very fine, to him at least.
Alas, the thought only got him a bonk on the head and a scowl from Junsu.
End of Chapter Two
Ah, finished at last. I posted it up right after I did. Expect to see another update tomorrow or the day after ^___^
This chapter is slightly longer than the previous one, but in my opinions, it’s very much less humorous than the previous one. I suck at making humor fics, so please tolerate me. There will be a backwards time skip in the next chapter, though.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. ^_^
