A/N: a random one-shot I wrote to take a break from my series :3 I think it’s been so long since the last time I wrote a one-shot, so here goes~ one of these is inspired by a real situation that happened yesterday. That incident got me wanting to play the game, and I’ve been playing it all day XDD guess which one it is (tora_robin, you should know *winks* *runs off and hides*) I’ll tell you which at the end :3
This happens in Blossoms of Spring universe. That’s right, before they graduate and get into college :3 I’m too lazy to make a new section for Four Seasons universe, that’s why *gets whacked*
This is also my first attempt at pure humor, and crack, so please go easy on me :DDD
Let’s Play Games
Yunho walked inside the Yunjae room carrying two glasses of orange juice and found Jaejoong lying on his bed, playing with his laptop. His eyes didn’t leave the screen even as he acknowledged Yunho’s presence in the room, and his hand moved at an inhuman speed as clicks could be heard repeatedly.
“What are you doing?” he asked as he walked over, and sat beside Jaejoong, taking a peek at the screen.
“I’m playing- argh! I didn’t get an expert score! Again!” he screamed in frustration as he buried his face in Yunho’s pillow and cursed, although not in the colorful words since he was too polite to do so. Plus, his Korean wasn’t that good enough.
Yunho blinked at him, and looked at the screen again. A cat and a dog stood at the left and right side of a box, two speech bubbles coming out of their mouths as they talked about how the day had been. The game statistics was listed in the box, and he could see that the score Jaejoong achieved didn’t reach the expert one.
“What game is this?” he asked, and then he noticed that it was still stage one, level five. Meaning, it was still very early in the game. He blinked in confusion again. Didn’t Jaejoong move the mouse at an inhuman speed? How could he lose?
“Doggie Dash,” Jaejoong said, pouting as he held Yunho’s pillow close to his chest. “Do you want to try?” he asked, taking the offered glass of juice from Yunho.
Yunho grinned and took the mouse from Jaejoong’s grasp. He turned his laptop to face him, and began playing.
Three minutes later, screams of disbelief could be heard from inside the Yunjae room as Jaejoong accused Yunho of using a cheat code because his score exceeded the expert score by almost one thousand.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“Hm, now, where’s the lock again?” Yunho mumbled to himself as he put on his glasses and narrowed his eyes, scanning the picture of a place in front of him in search of a lock.
“Yunho-yah?” Jaejoong called as he looked up from his book. “What are you playing?” he asked, apparently still bitter at the fact Yunho beat him in Doggie Dash twenty times consecutively. He knew Yunho was better than him when it came to arcade games, but he still wanted to be better than Yunho in something.
“Mystery Case Files,” Yunho answered simply as he kept on looking. He scooted over to give Jaejoong some space when he felt Jaejoong getting onto his bed, and turned his laptop around a little so Jaejoong could look at it as well.
“Is that what you’re looking for?” Jaejoong asked, pointing at a lock hidden between some other metallic things.
“Gah! How could you find it so fast!?” Yunho protested. “That’s unfair!” he added.
“Ohoho~ all’s fair in love and war… or in this case, games.”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Yoosu had watched in rapt fascination as Yunjae kept on competing on how many games they’re better than the other. Yunho was better than Jaejoong in arcade, racing, action, shooting, sports, and fighting games. Jaejoong was better than Yunho in hidden object, puzzle, strategy, board, word, and jigsaw games.
“Have you seen them going at it?” Yoochun asked Junsu as they watched the two playing Lemonade Tycoon 2 on Yunho’s laptop and Yoochun’s laptop to see who was better in tycoon games.
“Let’s see… what do you think they’ll compete on next?” Junsu asked.
“According to this one website, there’s only mahjong, cards, and kids’ games left,” Yoochun said, looking down at Junsu’s laptop which they were sharing due to Yoochun’s laptop being stolen by the older yet more childish pair of their house.
Junsu shook his head as Yunho jumped up and shouted in victory as he managed to open all eight stands before Jaejoong did, while Jaejoong accused him of using fast forward way too many times.
“And to think all this started because Jaejoong-shii lost to Yunho-hyung in Doggie Dash…”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Changmin looked at Yoosu who were watching Yunjae competing against each other again from the sidelines. They were eating popcorn as they watched, and occasionally commented and bet on who was going to win the round.
“What are they competing on now?” Changmin asked with a sigh.
“Oh, they’re playing Mahjong Tower Eternity right now,” Junsu answered, chewing on his butter popcorn while Yoochun ate his cheese-flavored popcorn.
“Oh? Best out of how many?” Changmin asked again.
“Out of eleven. They’re at the sixth game right now, and apparently Jae is winning,” Yoochun shrugged. “Yunho’s eyes are less sharp than Jae’s, so it’s no wonder he lost.”
“How many games have Jae-nuna won?” Changmin asked yet again, raising his eyebrow in curiosity.
“Six.”
“…”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
“Hey Min, do you want to join the bet?” Yoochun asked as Changmin walked past the living room where Yoosu was staying.
“What bet?” Changmin asked.
“We’re betting whether Yunjae is going to play kids’ games and see who’s better,” Yoochun answered.
“And what do you beat on?” Changmin asked again.
“Junsu said they wouldn’t. I said they would. What do you say? It’s only ten thousand won,” Yoochun said, smiling slightly as he motioned for him to come over.
“Nah, they’re already playing Franklin the Turtle’s Clubhouse Adventures inside,” Changmin shook his head, and continued on his way to the kitchen.
Then he could hear Yoochun’s whoop of joy and victory while Junsu wailed over his loss.
“Oh, hey Min, who’s winning?” Yoochun shouted from the living room as Junsu gave him the ten thousand won.
“Yunho-hyung!”
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Changmin was humming to himself as he walked towards Yunjae room to ask Jaejoong to cook them dinner since it was already seven in the evening.
He stopped as he reached the door, and paused to listen to the conversation from inside.
“Move it to the left.”
“Here?”
“No! That’s right, not left! And I thought only girls can’t differentiate left from right!”
“Hey! Take that back!”
“No way! That’s true!”
“Whatever. So I move it here?”
“Yeah, that’s right… oohh… that’s great!”
“Yeah, a few more moves and we should-”
“Hey! Watch where you’re moving!”
“Oops! Sorry!”
“Now, move it to the right.”
“Mm… here?”
“No, a little more.”
“Uh… here?”
“Yes. That’s good.”
“Ah Jae… what now?”
“Wait… ah, I know! Move it to the left! To that spot!”
Changmin was wondering if they were doing what he was thinking they were doing, or if his mind was just too perverted to interpret things the right way.
But then again, it was Jaejoong he was talking about. He knew for a fact he wouldn’t do anything like that. Especially not in their shared house.
He raised his hand to knock on the door, but then stopped again.
“Yes, yes, that’s right. Move it there.”
“Okay, so now I move it here?”
“Y- Aaaaaaaah!”
“Ouch! I’m so sorry!”
“Argh! Stupid Yunho! Why did you do that!?”
His curiosity finally got the best of him-especially after the scream-and he banged the door open and barged into Yunjae’s room to find Yunjae…
Sitting in front of Yunho’s laptop playing Free Cell. A dialog box stating they lost stood proudly in the center of the screen.
“Is there something wrong, Minnie-ah?” Jaejoong asked, looking at the younger boy.
Changmin blinked a few times, clearly speechless.
“Oh, oh! Listen! I’m better than Yunho in playing games!” Jaejoong said happily as he jumped up in excitement.
“Not fair! Only because you’re better in playing Spider Solitaire doesn’t mean you are better in all card games!” Yunho protested.
Changmin wisely chose to escape that place and his hyper hyung-deul.
End of Let’s Play Games
For reference of all the mentioned games above, consult the Games section in your default XP programs, and games2download.com :3 I downloaded my games there.
My friend was playing Free Cell, and my other friend was shouting at her, directing her which pile to move and where, and getting frustrated because my friend who was playing didn’t get it most of the time. So, in a way, the one who was playing is Yunho, and the other one is Jae :DDDDDD I played Free Cell all day today :3
I have played all games mentioned above except for… Franklin the Turtle’s Clubhouse Adventures, obviously :DDD or did you think I played that one? *gets whacked*
Anyway, enjoy~
