Oh I'm well enough. You aren't the only one. I've got e-mails from almost all of the people I try to keep in contact with just sitting in my mail box not being answered. I think the only person I'm completely caught up with is a friend of mine in Wisconsin who hasn't had time or reliable internet access in more than two months (that's what they get for having a mac based home wireless network.)
Bought Mechcommander 2 (and beat it) for my birthday. Just got Homeworld 2, which requires rather more video card than I have. And mum got me a copy of SC3000. I think my browser is about to crash, so I'll have to catch you later. Be good. Or don't get caught at least.

I <3 you. :)

Really do.

I'd burn them right there personally. Actually, no, I'd have dreams of setting them on fire and cackling manically as they burned in a yellow fringe :)

I <3 ya too. ::grin:: You the best, Jen. Ah, how you have made Annie feel happier with visions of tossing those offending receipts one-by-one into the flames, watching them blacken and curl into ash... ::drools::

Man, I'm not a pyro, but that would be SO FUCKING COOL.

Ah, cést la vie. Le sigh.

Replace "RECEIPTS" with "KOTOR2" and that's my day today!

Goddamn worthless Obsidian not fixing squat! I came to work this morning and found a new version on my Xbox. Yay, I have to do the oh-so-irritating levels 1 and 2 ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

We all had a great laugh over this review:
http://xbox.ign.com/articles/569/569096p1.html

Conclusion?
You can't spell 'ignorant' without 'IGN'"

Favorite quote:
"There are also a number of bugs in the game. This was the case with the first game as well, but again, I'd hoped for a smoother experience the second time around, but KOTOR II actually seems a little buggier."

Why do I write bug reports for 10 hours a day again? ;P

Your icon made me go all SQUEEE ROY MUSTANG because I am lurving the Full Metal Alchemist goodness. Anyhow.

Yeah about IGN. I have to go through gaming sites to get news and reviews for a internal newsletter every day, and IGN never fails to annoy me. Not only are they just set up wrong and annoyingly, as you know, their stuff is bollocks. I just looooooooove how what they say in the article never matches their score. They go "OMG I HATE IT" and give it a 7, say "meh it's okay," and give it a 9. Pffffh. They musta gotten a hell of a lot of burritos and hot bitchesKidding. (About the burritos & hot bitches, not IGN sucking, that is) ::grin ( ... )

Woah - *even* the British sites??? Like we're slow or something??? :aghast: We are, I know, I know :shakes head in shame:.

However, I totally agree with you about IGN 100% - But IGN get pre-rel. A mate of mine was still working on the final FMV for PoP when their review came out. They were mulling it over in the Ubi offices (due to the too dark jab) and wondering if a final tweak was in order. So you be the judge on how that factors in to the IGN blows equation.

But hey, I'm gonna flip tracks like the crazy freak of a Brit that I am (); anyone know where the heck the FMA film's plot line is gonna go? ... I mean come awwwwwwn talk about a crazy assed cliff hanger. I tells ya, that door is nothing but trouble.

(having said this, the FMA movie trailer is currently downloading from Japan - assuming I can prise my wife from FFXI - I'll see if I can get a translation out of her)

Awh man - for reference the current FMA movie trailer is L-A-M-E it's basically a rehash of the FMA credits.

Geeez - a three year old and an iMAC could do better. :grrrrrr:

Aw, glad to know I'm amusing. I do aim to please ::grin::

The sad things is that my job is GREAT and I love it - it's just that it's so much fun that the occasional office stuff that I have to do seems so excruciating and mindless in comparison. And having to take receipts (often having to tear the fucking-pointlessly-long Albertsons ones so they actually FIT ON A PAGE), tape them to a piece of paper, and circle the date and total (often having to rewrite both because receipt ink for many places blows goats) is NOT my idea of fun.

ON ONE HAND: best job ever, where my creativity and intelligence are both highly valued;
ON THE OTHER: occasional tedious, mindless office jobs that I don't recall ever signing up for are required. Mmmmghbleah.

Oh, and when I get BACK to work, I take those receipts and enter them in for CASH EXPENSE REPORTS. Ah my friend, I wish they would be stuffed in a drawer, never to bother me again: but sadly, the worst part of taping is knowing that one day soon I will have to actually use them, and the ( ... )

Pfff - you give me more credit than is due, but I have to agree, on my own personal screw-up scale, it was pretty cool. Plus, I simply love your comparisons .

As a final irony I did consider offering to sell them our kit (which is clearly more robust), but I thought that might be ... hmmm ... a slight faux pas considering the lynch mob that was lining up outside. I'm not the most tactful guy in the world, but even I know when I'm beat.

On the tedious side, hell, we all get it. You seem to take it with surprising valor. I'd have combined the receipt bundle into something resembling a scotch tape tennis ball and thrown it in their face. However, I'm known as a trouble maker; people get nervous when I don't speak in meetings. I've even been known to take the occasional geek armament(read nerf), cock it as the boss as ask, "is this meeting gonna be long?".

Call me ballsy or stupid, at least I live with conviction!

Hehe. "Push some buttons! Pull some levers! PULL SOME LEVERS!" ::grin::

Eh, it's part of me having my awesome job. Everything has its downsides - it's just the timing that's a hideous bitch. I do hate receipts, but I'll do what I gotta to make myself worthwhile here. Sheeeeeeeeeit, I'm getting trained on how to be a game designer, I can't blow my chances over receipts! ::laugh::

Anyhow. Conviction be good. And meetings? BLEAUGH. I've sat in on more 3 hour meetings than I care to mention, and I wish I could just go "welp, I'm done here. Bye now!" and stroll out. But like I said: golden opportunity, can't blow it. And all that ::sigh:: ::smile::
