why dont they let you get inked if you are drunk. blood clot problem?

Well there's a couple reasons.

1. Your blood gets a little thinner when you're drunk so you may bleed more when you're getting inked. This could hinder the artist a bit when he's working.

2. You may get something you regret when you sober up. And in most cases, you're going to be pissed at the artist for letting you get something stupid.

You want to be in a clear state of mine whilst getting a tattoo.
