On Friday I finally dragged myself out of slothfulness and went to the gdgt tech show downtown at the Tribune Tower. It was pretty awesome, as I'm a sucker for neat little gadgets even if I don't completely know how to make them or would not have any personal use for them.

My first thought on the biometric thingy was, 'Could it know when I'm whacking off? Would it scold me? Would it start selling my name to carpal tunnel relief advertisers?'

...that's a really interesting point actually! I wonder whether the spike in your biometrics would be distinctive enough to be identified as differing from whatever other random activity you might be engaged in... because if so I can see that being a hilarious downside.

...or upside, if you like that kind of thing, I suppose. I mean, if you can share the data from those things, it'd be like the next step up from sending dirty text messages. "I'm wanking, and here's my biometric data to prove it!"
