The theme was "The Pre-Raphaelite Dream". The paintings were bloody gorgeous *__*

The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood stood in its own class as being the rebels in art in UK =) They discarded cinematic lighting for natural lighting, the use of dim and murky colours for natural and vibrant colours, and what they depicted wasn't something hierarchically arranged for maximum cinematic effect; they depicted ordinary people in their ordinary life.
It's said that they received harsh critics for their paintings ranging from 'objectionable' to 'disgusting'.
