From what I've seen so far, the island is quite... intriguing, I should say. I went out for a walk an hour or two ago, though everyone seemed to be down at the market place by the time I returned. Good thing-

They act like vices-- easily able to pierce flesh of tear limbs.

No. They're strong.

... They don't eat.

Don't they get hungry?

No.

They're weapons, as I said. They aren't full centipedes.

But they do more than centipedes can. So doesn't that mean they should eat more too?
