I witnessed a domestic on the train today. I really didn't want to, but the man was shouting so loudly into his phone that the only way I could have avoided it was by going into another carriage. But probably not by someone whose vocabulary appears to run to about twenty words, most of them of four letters.

Hurting and wanting to hurt is not pretty. I'm surprised the man's vocabulary extended to 20 minutes without repeating himself. What always gets me is how people can conduct their private lives in public like this. I suppose when you are beside yourself nothing else matters.

No, he did repeat himself many times. I could probably repeat from memory everything he said - it probably took about two and a half minutes. Then he said it eight times.
We got another one on the way home the next day. I am working on a theory that when people are on their phones they actually forget that they are not in their own living rooms, and think nobody but the person on the other end can hear them.
