Peace Corps Interview

First of all, I'm incapable of interacting smoothly with government agencies, I just don't work that way. Sounds like it went pretty well, despite the knives--I was just thinking maybe I could get a Swiss Army knife again for my key chain but.... What happened to China, by the way?? The need in Africa is great; I can give you all sorts of data, ...but I'd love to come to the DR with Dad if that works out while you are there--Mom

PS--We heard from Hannah after a 9 day hiatus--she is fine and staring classes!!

I am reading "Collapse" by Jared Diamond and there is a great chapter on the contrast between Dominican Republic and Haiti which helped me understand some of our observations about the land--his unifying theme about cultures that don't do well seems to be "deforestation" as well as water managment issues. CE
