msscullyred I have a new quote for my sidebar *points* →
"It is never too late to be what you might have been."
*High fives* George Eliot who was obviously a woman of great sense and makes a note to change life immediately

Cake was FABULOUS! Didn't get any till this morning when the tea was. Was totally worth doing all that work for a bunch of senior citizens who spent most of the time talking about the weather and panicking about the stock market *closes own eyes to the price of my own few shares*.
Nope, not my kitchen. That's my pretty living room *G* Had to move cake onto coffee table in there for photographic moment because kitchen bench was covered in tins, and bowls and sieves and a big fat mess from baking. Is clean now. And looks nice, but dunno if I'd ever call my kitchen pretty. Functional, that's more like it.

Myself, I kind of like baking and I'm not bad at it, but I'm just not into expending the energy on it lately. I have yet to make the Anzac cookie recipe that you sent me - interrupted by having to move house (against my will) and just haven't gotten to a point where I want to even turn on the new oven.
You sound like you're enjoying your writing! I'm so glad. Disasters about - when will the universe cut you a break? - but at least your creative juices are flowing!

Don't know if I'm good at baking. Some things turn out like the pictures (phew!), some don't. Some don't even turn out of the damned tins! I unfortunately like eating everything though.
*makes note to go on long walk up mountain before breakfast tomorrow* Ow!
Juices flowing. Kind of messy, but tasty. *wipes cloth over keyboard and goes back to editing 3 fic at once*
